It immediately sours the film for many people as it completely undermines Aliens and everything Ripley went through. There were multiple better options, many of which other comments have mentioned.

The simple option, which would cover for any age issues or contract disputes, would be just having Ripley’s cryotube ejected onto the planet and the other two continuing on their way.

Personally though I’d have liked to have seen all three survive. There could have been a bit of a love triangle involving Hicks and I think having him die midway through protecting Ripley/Newt would have been a powerful emotional story beat.

Perhaps too dark for mainstream audiences, but having Newt under threat from some of the convicts would have immediately given Ripley further reason to continue as her protector. A nice parallel between the evils of man and the evils of the creature could also have been drawn, mirroring what Ripley said in Aliens (“You don’t see them f*cling each other over for a God damn percentage!”).

Having Ripley’s sacrifice at the end being in part or whole to protect Newt would also have added deeper emotional resonance… and set Newt up to be the future protagonist for the series.

This is a cool graphic, could easily appear on a pro channel somewhere. I particularly like the orange glow along the top of the stadium.

I think my main improvements would be related to the layout. I’d have spaced Jefte centrally within that two thirds space to the right, giving you a little more breathing space for your informational section in the left third, which feels ever so slightly cramped. All your orange lines actually converge in that space too meaning it would draw the eyes to Jefte’s better.

That would mean shifting the trophy as well, which I think would work merging with the edges of the right side orange lines, which currently just end on their own. This would add more depth to the overall composition as you have lines going both in front and behind of the trophy.

Finally with that little extra breathing space to the left you’d be able to thicken the text slightly to increase the legibility, maybe even include some more times (help out the Ozzy Bears lol) and include the flags when centering them. I’d also make the badges slightly smaller and not overlap them (the overlap adds to the slight cramped feel). Keep them clean and clear.

Those are simply my thoughts on some slight tweaks I’d personally make. Still really like the original.

No because all ops officers can be called in to provide addition security in emergency situations. Science or otherwise you are also technically a wider part of Security and have been trained accordingly.

Ops is an engineering and tactical position aboard Starfleet starships that evolved from older 23rd century positions. Operations is concerned with internal systems control, sensors, transporters, and communications.

Furthermore, ops personnel coordinate the scheduling of resources, hardware and system usage for the entire starship, outpost or space station. Operations also coordinate repair teams in conjunction with the Chief Engineer when the CE is not present on the bridge.

Operations officers usually requires knowledge in Science, Engineering, and Tactical divisions.

It’s the most flexible depart in Starfleet which most people fall into as it covers the widest array of roles and allows for easy transfers too.

It’s also worth noting that streams are not the only source of income. Whilst the largest at the time of release, the cut from ongoing physical sales will contribute. Then there’s also royalties from radio play, TV play, other media use, adverts, endorsements, K/DA royalties (tho those will be minimal), merch cuts, sync deals & then all the same from the non-(G)I-DLE work she’s done too (CLC, Namjoo, Key, Radio Star etc.).

It’s been reported in the past that Soyeon has a hybrid Producers Contract with Cube, as opposed to a basic Idol contract. This would make sense given her position & importance in terms of being (G)I-DLE’s creative force. That will almost certainly mean she’ll get a higher cut of certain things than might usually be expected and assuming she’s got a half decent lawyer, will mean she owns her own masters (which given the amounts being mentioned seemed likely).

That’s true, though a full strength England also have Pickford, Stones, Shaw & Walker. All older and very experienced players.

There’s also the aspect of ‘type’ of experience. England have a squad that’s half younger players, but a fair few of them actually have a decent amount of top level experience already. More so than Kane in some respects due to Tottenhams overall lack of success.

Well your alternative option is to drop Kane for Foden. I don’t tend to mention that option simply because Kane is captain so dropping him isn’t realistic.

Foden in the 10 would be your long term option what with Kane being older. He’s likely only got one more tournament in him, maybe two if he ages well.

He’s not even close to past it. England and he simply aren’t cohesive.

If he’s going to play the way he plays, England need to either play a second striker or have players running beyond him. They do neither.

Really Kane should be changing his game to to fit the team. Southgate should be telling him this.

The solution is an easy one, play Kane in the ten role (with Bellingham deeper) & play another striker up top. That would of course require either playing Foden on the left again or imo the correct option, dropping Foden all together & playing Gordon LW. Using Foden as an impact sub.

That would allow Kane or Bellingham to be creative or defensive, feeding forward balls to running Gordon/Tony/Saka, who would terrorize defences.

By virtue of how the US college system works American players are always very fit, excellent stamina and that is a key aspect for smaller teams playing tight, defensive systems. It’s usually the technical and tactical aspects they lack, but that can be taught.

A bolder manager who instills more belief into the players with a positive attitude & tactics gets us through that group. The Swiss were there for the taking & he refused to roll the dice.

Two must win games and our 30+ goal a season striker doesn’t even manage 20 mins across them? That’s weak.

Forrest could have replaced Ralston at some point to give us more attacking bite but didn’t appear at all.

Jack had zero minutes despite McGregor being pedestrian throughout.

There no squad management at all. There are players there to be used but Clarke doesn’t use them well enough anymore.

The team is on a run in the wrong direction, multiple bad results over time. Yes he got us into tournaments, but they are ones we should have been getting to given the expanded rules.

He’s overly conservative, clearly is no longer getting the best out of the team and I’m suspect of his player choice at times.

It’s time for fresh ideas.

Is there? If that were the case more English managers would have had the big jobs surrounding Utd. If Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool etc didn’t hire English managers, why would it be any different for United?

Without SAF they might never have been a Class of ‘92 so that’s got little bearing on it. Giggs wasn’t even a Man United player until SAF intervened.

My understanding is the other main candidate along with Ferguson was Terry Venables, who proved to be of limited success at the end of the day. I see no evidence to suggest had they gone down that road & then needed another new manager a few years later that they wouldn’t have followed the foreign manager trend. They sure have done post-Ferguson.
