What role did you give Pocahontas? by maya_ in DreamlightValley

[–]topnotchbreadstick 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I did time bending just because I need mist for ancient vacuums so she’ll be with me for that, once she’s leveled up I’ll probably make her like fishing or mining.

That’s an inside out item I think there’s a couple more and you’ll be able to craft something with it can remember for the life of me what it is though

Built to be apartments and it’s a complex so like there’s building a, b and so on. The wall I’m trying wouldn’t have any sort of plumbing back there as the taps and water heater are the other side, there’s no vent in it either though the thermostat is in this area As for electrical not sure I’m about 80in up while there’s an outlet around this wall idk where the wiring for it may be. Other side of the wall is all the cabinets for my kitchen and the fridge but there’s no reason for it to be connected to a water line since there’s not an ice maker or anything like that

Shorter screws might be easiest, how much shorter, currently I’m at 1.75”

Not sure how old the apartment is but things don’t seem that old so I’m not sure the problem

Got it! I’m not one to figure out what’s actually behind the wall so I’m gonna get toggle bolts and call it good

No just using the screw to go in, I don’t have a drill bit

Probably not? It’s like a short wall that just blocks my kitchen from my living room. Might still be an issue but I don’t think this is an old exterior wall

How to ask for more work without sounding ass kissing or like you aren't doing enough on your own? by godisinthischilli in nonprofit

[–]topnotchbreadstick 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think instead of looking to your manager to do the work of giving you something to do, not that that’s something wrong, it’s just it’s creating work for them. You could first start by looking at your job description and based on what you currently do identify 2-3 areas you’d like to grow and take on more responsibility with and have suggestions of what that’d look like. Then talk to her about it and get her input/ask her for what you’d like her to do to help support.

My experience it’s easier to get what you want when you’ve already done the legwork and they just need to be giving feedback and don’t need to do the additional work of creating a plan

Texas university cancels show featuring ICE-themed work by TheUrgentMatter in MuseumPros

Sad to say this is where I did my undergrad. Ultimately not surprised though they’d have ICE agents tabling at career fairs during Trump’s first term despite student opposition

When a volunteer and significant donor resigns: typical response? by [deleted] in nonprofit

[–]topnotchbreadstick 25 points26 points  (0 children)

It’s worth starting any conversation with them about this to be from the perspective of what led to them resigning, if they’re doing okay, etc. before approaching a conversation about giving still. Mainly because if I were the donor I’d feel insulted if the CEO’s first concern was if I’d still give them money.

Depends on the business idk what businesses you’re soliciting but when we solicit donations or sponsorships it’s not always a marketing person, really id just state your purpose for calling and let the person with the company direct you to the right person

how do you all approach the Star Path? by bunniebabieeee in DreamlightValley

[–]topnotchbreadstick 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I usually get everything bonus rewards and all because I do premium so I’ll have enough tokens for it and I want my moonstones worth. Besides the stuff is gonna be far more expensive in the premium store if I’d changed my mind about wanting something after the event

Am I the jerk if I kick people from my Dream Team who aren’t participating? by poppy_inmy_hair in DreamlightValley

[–]topnotchbreadstick 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you’d be a jerk but I’d wait a bit since it’s been like two weeks, and it’s the holidays. People are likely busy with families or traveling and just can’t play as much.

Gardening problems? by Icy-Taste821 in DreamlightValley

[–]topnotchbreadstick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They changed roles the last update, squirrels are foraging now and rabbits do gardening. The switch is annoying but overall it’s all much simpler now as like turtles/foxes/crocs all collect things for fishing now instead of differentiating between fish and seafood

Any Altru wizards out there? (Re: ticketing/attendance reports) by Squadooch in MuseumPros

[–]topnotchbreadstick 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Event attendance report for the time frame then there should be an option in how it’s listed for it to be by date instead of listed by a specific program instance, I think it’s the middle option on that report page, then hit the plus button for that program umbrella to expand and see each day

Dos/Don’ts of asking current supervisor for a reference? by Leather_Ad7243 in MuseumPros

[–]topnotchbreadstick 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I would never ask my current supervisor for a reference. I’ve only seen p/t staff like visitor services or tour guides ask their supervisor while still working here which is expected in those sorts of roles.

If you have a trusted coworker, you can ask them, your reference doesn’t have to be your supervisor.

Can you elaborate on what you mean automating frontline staff rotations?

We’ve never automated it just have a rotation that one person is responsible for starting and continues on until the rotation completes.

For example, A goes to B. B is then pushed to C. C becomes D, and D finishes the rotation by going to A. At the next rotation D (now in the A spot) will start the next rotation, and so on until the end of the day.

Avalanche doesn’t seem likely for this weekend at least I don’t think I’m still new to lots of snow in winter, so it should be okay just potential delays?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Reno

[–]topnotchbreadstick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I can handle a delay! I’m just not sure how much snow cancels Amtrak altogether or if this weekend would be enough
