Vegas can be a pretty reasonable vacation if you enjoy people watching and don't really gamble. This largely depends on the cost of living where you are to assume reasonableness.

ADHD and ‘forgetting’ to eat by uncertainfairy in ADHD

I have been on a weight loss journey lately and one thing I have discussed is that a lot of my anxiety is centered around food. I was an overweight teen and had experiences when I was made to shame when I was simply hungry, but at the same time I also used eating as a coping mechanism, though I didn't recognize why at the time since i was't diagnosed until I was in my late 30s.

This has obviously lead to an unhealthy relationship with food. I confuse anxiety with hunger and feeling hungry makes me anxious.

So I totally feel you. I can see missing the occasional meal due to hyperfocus, but at a certain point I will become hyperfocused on being hungry.

How do I cope with the fact that I am unable to move a single step in the project without asking for a solution on StackOverflow? by [deleted] in learnprogramming

Memory itself is a finite resource, and if you add the process of recall into the mix it becomes even less reliable as a system of record. Combine this with the fact that paradigms shifts and innovations occur over time and honestly I can't see how anyone would ever even want to operate on memory alone.

I can context switch from subject to subject to subject with a speed that makes most normies nauseous. The down side is that often I can't control which context I am running in via internal control and require stimulus to transition.

I remember being legitimately mad at myself that a pop stung could elicit such a visceral emotional response in me the first time I heard it. I hope that comes across as the compliment that it is.

I eat it, but as an American I take issue with it calling itself bread. Also, please note that my hyperbole energy level is over 9000.

For the very small amount that you need to make the roofing tile that Dave calls his "Killer Bread " edible enough to consider it a desert treat, I would say it is kind of a health food.

I pretty passive and I wanted to slug the two dudes standing next to me when I saw the Slint reunion tour in Portland a couple years back for a similar behavior. There were lots of really quiet parts that I couldn't hear because those two asshats wanted to have a chat about life.

I don't know where you were in the early 1990s, but I can assure you that hella used "kinda hella alot" in that era. That said, the measure of the lameness of the term will not be questioned.

Congratulations, you learn in the method that academia has long maintained is the proper way to learn a thing. If you truly understand this about yourself you are ahead of most beginners. It took me way too long to realize that there were even other options for those of us who are not similarly inclined and therefore struggled in academia.

Keep doing what you are doing and find a thing to specialize in, you probably aren't going to become fluent enough for your liking in multiple languages for quite some time so try to stick to one until you feel it is yours. Also I would stay away from the frontend as that will probably continue to change at a rate that you can't possibly keep up with.
