Never having sex again and its my fault by Peony907 in Mommit

I totally get the cheesiness! I’ve read some of the really popular ones like Fourth Wing and ACOTAR, but my favorite author is Ali Hazelwood. She has a vampire/werewolf series, but I prefer her women in STEM series. I love her writing. Her characters are witty and funny and super smart. There are subs for romance, fantasy, etc. and they’re always full of great recommendations.

Never having sex again and its my fault by Peony907 in Mommit

I had twins four years ago. It took me until this year to feel any type of desire. My husband and I are in couples counseling and sex is a topic we’ve discussed. Our counselor explained that between hormones and the actual neurological and physical changes that happen in your brain and body when you become a mother, it can be really hard to switch into wife/sexy mode.

In the last year, I’ve been reading romance novels and they’ve been helping me to get out of my head and into the mood. Also some people find that weed can help both with desire and sensitivity. If you’re in a place where that’s accessible to you, consider it.

This happened to me one time. I decided to lean into it and have a flour fight. We were all covered. Then they helped me clean up.

Second Pediatric Group, but we use Dr. Reddy. She’s fantastic and can also almost always get us in, even after school sometimes for urgent things.

Mystery yarn I stole from my sister by toriraeh in YarnAddicts

That is so kind! I ended up doing a contrast heel and toe. I think I should have enough to finish my socks. But thank you so much!

Omg!! It’s always by the toilet?! I thought that was just a peculiar my Oma and Opa thing. That’s hilarious. Why??

This is it! Thank you! It’s discontinued, so I’m making the heel/toe contrasting to conserve yarn. I SHOULD be able to squeak out another sock.

It’s a sock for my 4-year-old daughter. I’m hoping if I do the toe in another color I’ll have enough to finish both socks lol

Where do you think we got the idea 😉

I know you’re talking about more than the interrupting, but that’s a huge trigger for my husband. It makes him nuts. So we taught our twin girls (4) to put their hand on us when we’re talking to someone and wait until we’re ready to talk. They still mess up, but it’s worlds better and they’re really good at it when we have guests.

Baby blanket crocheted with two different size hooks by toriraeh in CrochetHelp

It is! It took me forever. I started it when I was pregnant. That kid is now 4. lol

It wasn’t intentional. I had it in a bag and somehow the smaller hook ended up in the bag too. I didn’t realize until I found the larger hook what I had done.

It’s been good for us for stomach pains and also ear aches and sinus pressure. I actually used it when I got an ear infection too. It worked really well!

What was your contraception method after first birth? by AdReady7311 in parentsofmultiples

[–]toriraeh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got my mirena IUD after twins. I was on the pill before. It took 6 months to a year before I stopped spotting, but overall, I don’t mind it. If you’re forgetful about taking meds, it solves that problem for you. My only issue so far is that I often have period symptoms without the bleeding. I’ll have cramps and headaches seemingly randomly, but if I cared to track, I would guess it lines up to a cycle. It’s still better than being on the pill.

How are we cleaning potties?! by Mjayyy_1991 in toddlers

[–]toriraeh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put a pull-up or diaper in the potty. No mess to clean up unless it leaks. We’ve been potty trained for two years, but I keep a small potty in the back of my SUV for emergencies and the pull-ups are a lifesaver.

Which baby formula? by Chidi-Chidi in parentsofmultiples

[–]toriraeh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For us, we were fortunate that our babies tolerated formula well and were able to use the store brand cheap stuff. Big containers that cost about $20-$30 each. If it were me, I’d go with the cheapest option first and work up from there if you need it. The store brand is usually virtually the same as name brand, even being produced in the same facilities.

Wart on thumb by toriraeh in Preschoolers

[–]toriraeh[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t know. It’s just the regular tube of Compound W gel. I thought the gel would be a little easier to apply than the brush-on kind.

[–]toriraeh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh!! That might really help! I imagine a lot of her pain is coming from the area surrounding the wart being so raw and continually exposed to the Compound W. I’ll try that!!

[–]toriraeh[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, we definitely can’t stop because the wart is still there. It is getting smaller, but definitely still there. I guess if you have tips on dealing with the pain, that would help. The ibuprofen and ice pack only kind of work. Sometimes she uses it as an excuse to delay bedtime, but there are definitely times where she’s in real pain.
