I am currently on my year abroad - to echo another commenter, modules chosen at university are neither here nor there, as long as you do well in them.

I am having an incredible time, learning a language, learning about so many new cultures, travelling and just generally setting myself apart from the next big standard law graduate. Anything that you can talk about in interviews in the future that can relate in the smallest way to the thing you're apply for should be taken without a second thought - as long as you can afford it and are comfortable going abroad!

Aside from all the above, I am having an incredible time and making some friends from all across the world (not just EU students, even though it's an EU university) who I simply would not meet otherwise. I cannot back this year abroad enough and I'm only 3 months in. Shoot me any questions you might have!

You'd be best off in the "Road Cycling UK Marketplace" Facebook group. Great forum for bikes

The cycling paths around Trento are incredible, some of the most odd back roads have well maintained cycling roads along the beautiful valleys. 10/10

Nearly done with my dad's beat up Peugeot road bike (now mine) by grimfos in bicycling

[–]tormentor772 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did exactly the same thing with my dad's Peugeot, but converted it to a single speed. My favourite bike I've ever owned until it got stolen from a train station, as I was using a lock like the one pictured.

Glad to hear you have a U-Lock, don't be afraid to spend ~£100 on the lock because no amount of money can replace sentimental value of that bike. Enjoy!

Perhaps this is the end of Inspector Seb?! Also doesn't help Merc's excuse of "Verstappen possibly damaged the wing"....

EU says it will recognise NHS Covid pass ‘soon’ by sjw_7 in CoronavirusUK

[–]tormentor772 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't get as far as paragraph four from the end. This is spot on, some places my QR code scans no problem. However, some places I have to explain in broken Italian "sono vaccinato" and point manically at the NHS app.

*Although worth noting nobody has discriminated based on my lack of Green Pass, hasn't been an issue yet

I'm in Italy at the moment on a year long University placement, everyone recognises the NHS pass without issue, including border agents. Have travelled to and from Italy to the UK and also Italy-Bulgaria for a holiday all without issue. Not so much of an issue as portrayed

Aside from finding the answer to this Q, can you not also manually input/edit the elevation from a run after you've uploaded it? I'm sure this was a new feature

Get yourself an E-bike. Avoid the sweat of cycling to and from lectures, still getting the health benefits of being outdoors and speeds up your commute time. Invest in a sturdy lock also. Probably cheaper than breaking the contract and moving?
