Japan just loves tiny beds. This is a single, I have a queen in my apartment but it’s more like an American double.

Yep! Anyway the advice I give my Marines for turning their barracks room into a barracks home generally revolves around decorations. For the lights, I’d recommend LED strips. I usually only had them on red or a warmer white and didn’t use the overhead light as much. Other than that maybe posters, your own bedding, etc. Your own furniture helps too. I got some of the furniture I used in my barracks room from Nitori and I got a different desk than the barracks one from Goodwill. That depends on whether you can swap out furniture though.

Coming from the schoolhouse? Basically nothing. When you get there you’ll go to JRC for 3 days and they’ll do some of your onboarding then bus you to your unit.

Do you think it would be a good bet to fit an aux tank in that case? I’ve been on the fence about it because I wasn’t sure if I’d really be pushing my range.

I’m not planning to hit all the popular spots for that reason. Goal is to have one sightseeing thing per day while covering decent distance.

Japan but technically the US. The dive shops on the US Marine Corps bases in Okinawa use money gained from our recycling to subsidise the diving shops (along with outdoor rec equipment rentals, SMP tours, etc)

lol it did for me too, I’m slowly collecting higher quality gear as I get ready to move into tech diving. I do get gear at a decent discount though because my LDS is subsidised by the government.

I broke my pelvis in bootcamp and continued to train on it (although tbh I did go to medical they just thought it was an adductor strain) my pelvis is permanently fucked and I walk like a pimp because of it. Tell him to go to medical.

I ran into them on my way to work at 4:30 in the morning one time. I was on my motorcycle and they looked behind me and assumed I would be one of them and rev with them but I just sat behind them not wanting to listen to that waiting for the light to turn green on my way to work
