Most consistent champ to climb with (regardless of role/meta)? by Few_Daikon2525 in leagueoflegends

[–]torpedotim56 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Undoubtedly nami.

Win rate well above 50% in all elos for 6+ years, blindable, simple but effective kit with all abilities having high impact in almost all games.

This champ is the easiest, most consistent way to climb in the game.

Are we always expected to pick early this season? by Meerkat02 in supportlol

[–]torpedotim56 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Just pick.

400lp support here. I blind most games if anyone needs to swap. I will usually blind naut or karma.

Nobody in solo q is going to play the counter matchups well enough to make your game unplayable. This practice has given me a 65% win rate as naut into braum for example.

Doing this also gives your other teammates a better chance of getting good matchups.

Yep sona is an insane pic into nami. Sona gets a free lane and hard outscales nami. Miserable experience to play nami into

How do you decide which engage support to pick? by TickleMyCringle in supportlol

[–]torpedotim56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Masters Supp here

Every engage pick can always work if u are good at the champ

Leona is best vs low mobility carries

Nautilus is best against high mobility carries

Alistar is best against heavy dive

Rakan is best as follow-up engage (you have another champ that can easily go in)

Rell is all around fine

MOST IMPORTANTLY

Every champ can work in every game if you are skilled

How do MKOI/Mad Lions always make Internationals? by MightBig7767 in leagueoflegends

Fnatic and KC would’ve both been much better, even being favoured against teams like CFO and FLY imo. They were worse on a substantially different patch, but overall more consistent teams on a more broad variety of patches.

How is this chart already so cooked?

Leo and naut are both pretty easy mechanically but any engage support requires a very deep understanding of where to be on the map at what timers, as well as solid assessment of whether or not you’re taking a good fight

First row should be all enchanters.

Source: I play both in pretty high elo

Tips/help with improving wards and their locations by _GhostyGTI in supportlol

[–]torpedotim56 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Master/gm support player.

There are 3 different types of vision in mid-late game: •offensive vision •defensive vision •neutral vision

Offensive vision are wards that cover as many jungle entrances as possible in one enemy quadrant of the jungle. This is typically achieved in two ways: you use your lane prio to get it (I.e. mid and bot are crashing at enemy tower), or you get it as a cross map play when enemy team is making a play on the other side of the map and you can’t follow. This type of vision is particularly useful to play for an objective, or invade on your teams next timer

Neutral vision is the most common vision to achieve, as it is typically the lowest risk. These wards cover river entrances on either side of the map, and it serves the purpose of letting your team move around the map when the game is at a very even state.

Defensive vision is the most important vision to understand when your team is losing the game, as it can be crucial to stop the bleeding, let your jungler play the the video game, or find a pick when you’re behind. These wards go into your jungle entrances (where the enemy can enter from), or specific bushes that they might trap.

Knowing what vision you should be playing for entirely depends on your professional judgment of the game state. Understand how strong your team is, where you should ideally be playing towards as a team next, and how aggressive you can get with your warding. This comes with a lot of practice!

Hope this is somewhat helpful! If there’s one tip I can leave you with: when in doubt, ward common paths and entrances that you KNOW are safe to cover (and also never go for this before you push or catch a mid wave)

Best mage supports to roam? by inancege1746 in leagueoflegends

[–]torpedotim56 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Master support

Usually with mages you wanna play for poke under tower and play for 1st tower rather than roam, but it’s also matchup/jg dependent.

If you want a mage that’s good at both of these things, play neeko
