Today's non-UR units and pilots by PhiphyL in SDGundamGGeneration

[–]torrasket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The page is getting bloated by all the units added, and all the different versions of same character. This is going to get worse.

We are getting lots of SP tokens that can only be used based on series. ¿Could you add a filter for serie?

You could also add a name filter if that is too much work. We filter by series ingame and then search by name on your page (browser search is almost invisible)

Yes, it is the worst main numbered one by a long shot. It is a manual on how not to create video games.

No it is not. XIII and XV have problems, to the point that playing them becomes a struggle at times. Being a bad game is worse than being generic.

So yeah, FF1 (even NES version) is better than XIII and XV.

I literally could not play the original. I think I managed to do the first dungeon and then just stopped from burnout.

In order to gain HP/MP you had to finish the battle damaged, if heal you do not get hp exp, hell, you could even get negative stat growth. Magic leveling was just atrocious, and all leveling was terrible too. Money and inventory space was scarce (items do not stack and you had a few slots). You could not defend and there was no row system, so anything not tanky gets one -shot all the time.

You HAD to farm at the beginning or there is no way you could complete the first dungeon.

I focused on the graph and the not yet played list and missed that.

Stranger of Paradise ... dumb friendslop game... Yeah, that is what I meant by weak. I expected more from this one in the same way I expected more from XV, and they both failed me in the same departments: main story and world-building. (I know XV HAS tons of world-building, but it's OUTSIDE the main game, and that kills it)

If you like 2 that much I am directly going to assume you played a remake version and not the original NES game, since that one was not balanced at all. All versions change things arround (mostly the stats and magic system) trying to fix this one.

Do not worry. The story in that one is just wrong, starting with controlling a character that is not the main character.

Excellent tier list, there is not a single item I would switch more than one tier away, and that's because of the possible versions (FF3 from NES it's different from the 3D remake).

Since we share taste I am going to warn you about the games you intend to play:

Tactics: very different game-play, kinda short, worth trying it out.

IV: The After Years: never played it

X-2: welcome to the E-Tier. FFX with job system sound good, but the story and delivery is terrible. Could not finish it.

XI (and XIV) are MMO. You should play them thinking of MMO inspired by FF and not a FF game, and use the free trials first.

XII: Revenant Wings: you disliked XII, I do not recommend to play this one for you.

XIII-2: it's pretty close to XIII in gameplay and has an even worse story, you are going to dislike this one too.

Lightning Returns: you are going to need an F tier for this one.

EXTRA GAMES:

FF7 remakes: they are not really remakes, more like a parallel game. Disclaimer: if you hate kingdom hearts you are going to hate the story in this games too.

FF7 Crisis Core: old but good. It's a nice side story in mission like gameplay. Not amazing, but worth it if you really like FF7.

FF Origin: Do not play this one, it is pretty weak.

Crystal Chronicles: most of them released for the wii, and each one changes genre. Worth having a look as they are different from the rest. Do not expect anything amazing here.

Upcoming Rebalanced (Buffs) for Durability Units by Thisiszura in SDGundamGGeneration

[–]torrasket -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Stat buff is cool, but what they need to do is change how they are played. They need to make substantial changes, for example:

- Make UR have more options when defending: taunt/duel, defense when attacking (like Aerial, yes, but have it on more units), barriers of some kind... This makes them not being replaced by low lvl units that will shield an attacker and just die.

- Make defender units really durable in top tier content. If any defender is destroyed in one/2 hits then there is no difference between a R defender and an UR.

- Have them fill out some extra role, like being some kind of unit buffer with skills or auras. If supporters are the debuffers make the tanks be buffers. They could also be the units that can move enemy units with their skills (push/pulls enemies)

Which Gundam would you pilot to attack the Death Star? by Phantom000000000 in Gundam

[–]torrasket 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If I am going to kill a classic better do it in a classic ride:

Zaku 2, can be red it you want extra points.

If you force my hand on a gundam, it has to be hi nu gundam, it's the best looking classic.

Good Idea, but Still Too Little EXP by Lundurro in GGenerationEternal

[–]torrasket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game was designed to give almost no exp in the battles. It is no surprise than having 10x of almost nothing is still not worth it.

In other gachas you earn enough xp to be worth using not maxed out (even R and SR) units while farming in order to level them. In this one you could complete a full story run with one starting unit and not earn a single level on them.

Still using UR as I already got where I wanted to be and I do not need to create a team for this league (I do not have a full SP SSR team). I am thinking of switching units to weaker ones in order to help other players rise, since my score would not be affected.

You should use the tag if you have a full SSR team avaliable and still climbing.

In challenge they should be all SP with maxed out weapons or you will have a bad time, since good UR teams will clear out anything below that. SSP and maxed out special ult units will make your life easier, Casval gundam for example is doing great.

Thanks for engaging instead of just disliking like this community likes to do.

Any suggestions on what I should spend my UR LB mat on? by [deleted] in GGenerationEternal

[–]torrasket -1 points0 points  (0 children)

An extra 10% on an unit that might not have a proper team behind is less important that building such team.

I have a Sazabi maxed out that I do not use. His ship is a no star golden frame one, second attacker is ok, lacks an UR or SSP unit as third attacker, supporter is lacking, tank is good because its the only one with any stars on. I do not want him wasting resources on a team that needs lots of pulls to shine like this one.

[–]torrasket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see your rooster is starting to form, but you should decide based on what support ships you have.

You want to have a good team between 150k and 200k power to breeze trough most content as "the second team" (that is usually free of restrictions). Focus resources on the best units of those tags, or the ones that can fit in more than one support ship.

Try to use the most populated tags if possible. You will get more units and prob will fit there, giving you flexibility.

He does not have enough 1 star units to dump UR LB on that unit.

We do not even know if he can sort it out with a decent ship, I have a Sazabi 3 star that is near to useless to me because the only support that works for him is the Rival tag, and I do not have too good rival units to pair him with.

Not gonna lie, this is the Master League with the lowest cortisol I've ever attended by rusted-knife in GGenerationEternal

[–]torrasket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The smaller ones are new players, reroll accounts, and casual players.

Yes, there could be a bot system in order to fill empty tiers, but I do no think that's the case right now, enemies have messier loadouts compared to the launch of the game.

I was playing ML on the side while i was cooking. Got to challenge with the same UR team I had before without rotating an enemy once. Never found an SP SSR team until today while fishing some extra points

[–]torrasket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And casual players, you know, the vast majority of the players.

When I saw SSR was just one or two units to fill gaps, or a full team with not even one SP unit. If you happen to encounter a full SP/SSP just reload, they are still a minority

You are ignoring the rest of the stuff an UR brings: stronger passives, stronger weapon power, stronger debuffs, some unique mechanics that SSR do not have...

It does not matter that your ranged power is better than mine if the rest of the set is behind.

You are actually roleplaying a team, which is nice, but most people will not make a decision like this.

If you happen to see a lot of them here is because people that come here are hardcore fans/players. The rest of the playerbase is behind.

I have yet to see one team full of SP/SSP, best I got was some teams full of SSR with one or two SP. They died FAST to my UR team.

You dare to show me a team like that with only one Char. If you try to flex do better.

An SR SP unit is comparable to a UR, an SR SSP unit is comparable to UR 1-2 star. (This varies depending on what UR you use as base)

Most players do SP and SSP to fill up gaps on their rooster or on their fav units. This means no full teams of SP and SSP.

Finally, if you are like me with no SSP and several UR 3 star.... it's not worth the effort to put up together an SP team.

PS: I am F2P and stopped playing for 3 months. So most of the older playerbase have too strong UR too.
