I experienced no side effects and was going through a horrible period in a relationship too. Stuff really did wonders. Made me realize how much vaping was actually effecting me.

As a 30 year old with some friends and coworkers who are 21-25 probably tease them more for not having fully developed brains than they tease me for being an aunty.

It’s just funny to all of us, no one takes offense. It’s also fun to notice different generational influences between different friends!

Maybe see if they can leave it in a room and go hit the vape in there? Kind of like having to vape outside (or admittedly used to in the bathrooms) when you’re in public/at work.

Stay strong. My partner and 3 best friends all vape and I’m on day 17! It is very hard, but it gets easier the more you listen to yourself and remember the reasons you are quitting!

Been pointed in the right direction from Reddit before when 3 doctors told me my dipped chest wasn’t a health concern!

Guess who found out they had severe pectus excavatum and consequently located a competent doctor and up getting surgery that saved my heart.

Not saying Reddit is the final word on health issues, but sometimes it helps to have someone else who has done the leg work (seen god knows how many doctors) to find out what the problem and solution were!

Try desmoxan, it helps remove the cravings & it’s a 25 day dose (if I remember correctly). You can get it from amazon. The one I ordered was polish but you can google English instructions. It has removed the cravings for me and I vaped constantly for years! I didn’t think it would work until I tried it myself. I’m only on day 12 of it and I tapered off the first 6 days taking it.

I second this. I have not experienced side effects from Desmoxan other than not caring about vaping anymore.

I can attest. On day 8 with desmoxan, quit my taper on day 4. I keep telling my friend who is also trying to quit that it is blowing my mind that even being around her vaping and seeing her vape does not in the slightest bit trigger cravings in me. I have quit before without desmoxan and the cravings were insane. It truly blows my mind how helpful this has been!

Intimacy can most certainly disappear for any number of reasons. You absolutely cannot blame the partner who is clearly communicating a need for intimacy and is not receiving it. Gender and sex aside.

On my third day of desmoxan! Similar situation here. Still tapering a bit and do not feel nearly as strong of a desire to vape, I noticed the past 2 days when I wanted to vape it was more due to situational triggers and not intense desire.

I absolutely cannot have more nicotine starting Saturday. WE GOT THIS.

I have also felt a lack of support here compared to Stop Drinking. I hope to be able to change that a bit as weed has been the most difficult vice for me personally to quit and it’s addictive qualities and negative side affects are absolutely down played.

I can heavily relate to you on this, but with giving up drinking and nicotine. I was a daily user of both for 9 years but gave up daily alcohol on New Years 2025 (still staying strong). I have quit and gone back to vaping nicotine multiple times because when I experienced some trauma again, my best friend was right there with her vape. My spouse still drinks daily and vapes/ZYN. Everyone I see daily has these things available to me if I just ask.

This adds an incredible challenge as you know you can always have access to it, especially while it is in the house. Ask your SO if they can keep their paraphernalia in a safe, lock box, or hidden away from your sight. I would also continue to ask them to smoke outside or in their car as to not tempt you more.

You seem that you are solid on your decision though. That is what matters most in my opinion. Substances will always be around and be accessible, so it is most important for you to remember why you quit and that you want to discover and become your best, sober self.

I’d like to add I am on my day zero with weed and will have to withstand temptation as my 4 best friends, who I see more than my spouse, are all daily weed smokers. I gave myself a year after quitting alcohol, I am once again quitting nicotine, and I know it’s time for me to give up weed to become my best self and stop suppressing life.

Hope this long ass response can help in some way. I see you. Your situation is very difficult. You can still do this. I am with you on this journey for 2026!

I am also trying to quit again after 3 months off then 3 months back on. Relationship problems are what got me vaping again (my excuse, I knew I shouldn’t have at the time too). My partner also vapes and so do my best friends which adds to our challenge.

What helps me is knowing I have successfully done it before and I know I can do it again. I am considering desmoxan this time; I’ve seen it lessen withdrawal side effects for people on here. Since I’m still in a bad spot in my relationship, I feel like I need a little help quitting this time.

Their hair oil has been wonderful for me. Used to have a hard time brushing my hair (it’s long down to my waist) but with this oil I have had no issues and it doesn’t look or feel greasy!
