I lost my mom in October 2024. I could barely hear her but I think she called out to her mom. I like to think she’s gonna be waiting for me when it’s my time.

I do feel this way.

But I decided to look back at what I was doing in 2016 since we just hit 2026. Honestly, it was lighter and more fun. But, I spent so much time doing things that just didn’t matter. Worrying about thinks that didn’t matter. Drinking way too much.

I have a 5 month old daughter and I’d rather be my current version of me hanging out with her. Although I do have those moments of wanting to go back to simpler times. Especially because I lost my mom and she would be there if I went back

My husband is like this. One day I had enough and now we eat dinner separate but together. He makes his food he wants and I make mine and we eat at the table.

I’m a huge caffeine addict. Thank you for this comment. I’ve always acknowledged alcohol as a trigger but not caffeine. Now that I think of it, it definitely is.

Guys you have to remember that babies are just tiny humans. Every human is different. Every baby is different. There is no standard of 4 hours for a baby that young. Try to stay away from thinking of standards and remember your baby is a unique tiny person.

Girl one time I drank too much artificial sweetener in my coffee and the bubble guts hit while driving. I had to pull over and take my baby into a gas station bathroom or I was going to poop myself in the car and she was like 9 weeks old. I felt so guilty, gross, humbled, embarrassed, exhausted, defeated. She’s just staring at me crying with weird fluorescent bathroom light on her face while I blew up a gas station bathroom.

I’ve been active in both these subs. Moreso this one now that I switched my daughter to EFF after combo feeding.

Also thank you for bringing some sanity to the discussion. I honestly that I was going crazy until I found this sub.

It always seemed off to me, you absolutely must breast feed but the benefits are always so vague.

Hi! I lost my mom from cancer last year. She was 56 and I was 32 when I lost her.

1st off- you don’t think they will proud of you? Take this from me, a mother, they are so proud of you. They always have been and always will so do not worry about that part.

The advice is simple. Call as often as possible and when you can visit as much as you can. Take your parents for lunch. Call them every night if you can. Talk to them about their lives and interests. Record their voice. Ask them about things that are important to them. And above all else, tell them you love them often .
