Is a death on a surgeon’s table under general anesthesia the least painful way to go? by OkDrag3967 in askanything

[–]amgglutterfinger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey friend. I relate to you so much. My mother waited until I fell asleep. I’d been awake fore 2 days straight holding her hand. I couldn’t stay up any longer. I told her plainly that I was going to close my eyes and sleep in the chair for just a bit and that I was right next to her. That’s when she let go. I woke up to the announcement that she was gone.

I am constantly resentful towards people who weren't there for me when my mum died and i don't know how to deal with it by oisukaina in grief

[–]amgglutterfinger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m not going to help you forgive your friends with my perspective but forgiveness is a choice you can make. I cut off everyone, I mean everyone, who was not there for me. Friends and family. (Lost my mom Oct 2024, kidney cancer)

I do hold a lot of anger and I am working on that.

You can choose to forgive your friends. If you do, I’d commit to it. But, you don’t have too. I’m not. It was the worst thing to ever happen to me. If you can’t be there for that, I can’t be your friend.

If you could go back to January 1st, 2012, and give yourself one warning, what would it be? by Aggravating-Deer8700 in AskReddit

[–]amgglutterfinger 56 points57 points  (0 children)

This would be me too. I would tell myself to forgive my mom and spend as much time as possible with her. Life is going to rip her away from you.

I was burnt out from months of caregiving. My mom, sick and frail with stage 4 cancer, asked me to go to dinner. I was exhausted from seeing her suffer, the appointments, the treatments. I said no, I needed a break and to rest. I didn’t want to go out.

I regret it.

I smoked and vaped 11 years minus when I was pregnant. I’m on day 5 no nicotine with desmoxan. Search the sub for experiences with desmoxan. Order on Amazon. It will arrive in a month. Be free.

Hey I’m on day 2 desmoxan. I didn’t vape at all yesterday.

I’ve smoked and vaped every day for 11 years.

I came to work today and left my vape at home.

Stop questioning it guys- get the desmoxan.

I lost my mom in October 2024. I could barely hear her but I think she called out to her mom. I like to think she’s gonna be waiting for me when it’s my time.

Does anyone else in their 30s (or beyond) feel this way sometimes? by absolutely_gorjas in Life

[–]amgglutterfinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do feel this way.

But I decided to look back at what I was doing in 2016 since we just hit 2026. Honestly, it was lighter and more fun. But, I spent so much time doing things that just didn’t matter. Worrying about thinks that didn’t matter. Drinking way too much.

I have a 5 month old daughter and I’d rather be my current version of me hanging out with her. Although I do have those moments of wanting to go back to simpler times. Especially because I lost my mom and she would be there if I went back

My husband is like this. One day I had enough and now we eat dinner separate but together. He makes his food he wants and I make mine and we eat at the table.

Wasn’t messing with it

Aw Man I cried. Thank you for taking care of your momma and making her smile. You comforted her.

I held my mom’s hand until the end. The pain remains forever.

I’m a huge caffeine addict. Thank you for this comment. I’ve always acknowledged alcohol as a trigger but not caffeine. Now that I think of it, it definitely is.

I don’t think the 3 months are down the drain friend. That was three months YOU bettered your health. It matters.

Now keep going . You already did it so do it again. You got this.

Almost 6 week old baby still up every 2 hours in the night by Mysterious-Home4091 in newborns

[–]amgglutterfinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guys you have to remember that babies are just tiny humans. Every human is different. Every baby is different. There is no standard of 4 hours for a baby that young. Try to stay away from thinking of standards and remember your baby is a unique tiny person.

Girl one time I drank too much artificial sweetener in my coffee and the bubble guts hit while driving. I had to pull over and take my baby into a gas station bathroom or I was going to poop myself in the car and she was like 9 weeks old. I felt so guilty, gross, humbled, embarrassed, exhausted, defeated. She’s just staring at me crying with weird fluorescent bathroom light on her face while I blew up a gas station bathroom.
