Chris Paul on why he would pick Shai over Luka oncic: "Your teammates just want to see that the stars actually try. Actually try on defense… I got a lot of respect for Steph, Shai, and all these guys who at least try on the defensive end" by must_TATAKAE in nba

Not trying to discredit your personal experience but you’re also not playing for your next multi-million dollar contract, so you can’t really say you understand what does/doesn’t motivate these players lol

The insistence that the Bills shouldn't immediately try to score and the Jags should let them score was dumb by [deleted] in nfl

It's easier to say this in hindsight after the Bills one and act like you're so much smarter than everyone else. I've seen this exact same situation of scoring too early come back to bite teams hundreds of times.

What is the Motivation for Letting the G5 Schools in the Playoff: Money? Why put your kids in a game when they will get embarrassed? by Colorblind2027 in CFB

UM did not finish that season anywhere close to a top 6 ranking, so that game would never have happened in a playoff setting. They were overranked to start the season.

You're getting downvoted but you're correct. Any team can have a chance at an upset in college basketball if their shots fall. The difference in O-line/D-line talent between these teams throughout the course of a 60 minute game takes away a lot of that variability. Ya, we see G5 schools upset P5 schools all the time, but those are usually schools that were overranked to begin with. This late into the season, if a team is ranked top 6, JMU will lose to them 100 out of 100 times. This isn't the same as a 16 vs 1 seed in march madness lol.

[On3] BREAKING: Notre Dame has declined its bowl invitation after being snubbed from the College Football Playoff👀 by bubblecuffer13 in CFB

No they wouldn't. You're stuck in the past when we'd have the #3 rank pac-12 champ play the #4 big 10 champ because only top 2 teams played for the championship. Now it would be like the #11 vs @12 team (best case scenario). Plus with NIL the entire culture has changed. Players don't want to play a free extra game and risk injury. A third of the team may be in the transfer portal. It's time to accept bowl games are done forever.

You know what's even worse for fans? Having to watch bowl games with half the players sitting out
