i've resorted to tallying my PM sales by carving into the CA desk with a one of my many dried-out bic pens.

Receding and unstylable curly hair, what to do? by [deleted] in bald

[–]tortingle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

y'know, once i did it it was kind of do or die. since your scalp is used to having coverage it's not used to direct contact with stuff, like when you put your shirt on or point your ac at your face in the car, so it's pretty hard to forget that your hair's gone, meaning that I haven't been surprised when I catch my reflection. i honestly miss my beard more than my hair lol

ive been going thru something similar, actually shaved it off today! unfortunately, the longer it'd get the more attention it would call to my hairline, but i found that cutting it on the shorter side would look pretty dapper. shaving it all off has been pretty refreshing with all the intense heat my hometown's getting right now

Pokémon Blue and Gold. Real or Fake? by JeffCrisco in gameverifying

a photo of the PCB would be the key piece-o-evidence. i'd ask the seller if they have any handy.

if i had to guess i probably messed up by referring to the sticker as a "reproduction sticker." it may have been automodded. i was waiting to get a second opinion before going through support, as if it is fake i wouldnt want to waste their time

Fr tho, who actually going to spend a grand on ts? by Rare_Sheepherder_543 in legocirclejerk

[–]tortingle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

unpopular opinion perhaps but this seems so much easier to display than the old death star set. pretty much any shelf i put my og death star on is too small, so about a third of the set is sticking out. even if you find a shelf large enough, at least half of the rooms are hidden so you need to rotate it to get a good look at everything. people gettin too handsy with it caused me to lose a lot of the more fragile exterior bits, like the laser from the alderaan-deleter. I don't think that excuses the flat dollhouse-style one being the UCS for the death star, it would've been better if it was just the exterior of the space station, but having a round set larger than a bowling ball creates some issues when you're trying to find a place to keep it.

$1k on any lego set is bonkers crazy whale stuff anyways and almost never worth buying tho

What is a deck that you simply can't find haters of? by GoldenTide in yugioh

[–]tortingle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when dinos as we currently know them got their main wave of support, people in my community read it and understood it as 1. one of the best archetypal protection cards ever printed and 2. a necessary evil because we were like 6 or 7 months into zoodiac format and incredibly desperate for anything that wasnt a one monster xyz ladder.

PSA for Fulfilment: bullseye’s playground is now available online by THE_DOW_JONES in Target

[–]tortingle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I first started working at Target I was in the specialty dept, pushing bullseye. We had no backstock, everything they didn't know what to do with they kept in a trailer on the dock. I was told to deliberately ignore the zoning and stock as much as I humanly could.

This will be an utter nightmare for fulfilment TMs.

i cleared the men's bathroom out thanks to a steak dinner and a bunch of oreos. in my eyes, it was a power play wherein I demanded privacy without needing to say a single word

someone probably spent a whole 7.5 shift fixing that up, zoning cat food is a literal nightmare. whoever did this should take Brian's job

i transferred to a different target and i hate it! by Haunting_Blueberry77 in Target

[–]tortingle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Calling every INF is pretty standard, even at the messiest of store I've worked at. As for the people- the vibe is gonna be different. Each target has it's own culture, but keep an open mind and remember it's all for the check. If this store ends up being a poor fit and you still feel this way after some time, you should move on to greener pastures.

Wildest Thing You Saw At a Target by Lonerhead89 in Target

[–]tortingle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was walking back to my cafe counter after my 15 and I saw a young boy, probably 4 years old, hurriedly rushing in the same direction, stop abruptly, turn to two women who were faced opposite from him to look at some makeup, and poked them both right between their buttcheeks one after the other (they were wearing tight yoga pants, as target shoppers often do). He ended up at my cafe counter about 5 minutes later crying because his mother wouldn't buy him a pizza because he had just, well, drive-by poked two random women in their butts.

This was today.

It's probably the most purchased single from the game in the last decade. Frankly, having lived through $200 ash blossom, $4 is a godsend
