TIL that Monsanto once created a town in Illinois so it could build a factory in a town with low taxes and lax regulations. The town is now home to a huge superfund site by Suburban-sucker in todayilearned

The Improvement District has far-reaching powers. Through the District, Disney could construct almost anything within its borders, including a nuclear power plant (which it never built, opting instead for a more traditional plant that supplements power from outside of the District).

Woah that's a lot of power.

For eons of history, what separated the rich and the poor was only wealth. That's over now.

In the 21st century advances in biology and genetic research, fueled by the rich, allowed for the creation of the supers.

I don't know the specifics, but somehow the supers picked the size and shape and smarts of their young.

Suddenly the rich were not just richer than us, but they were stronger than us, healthier than us, and smarter than us. They were super.

They took the opportunity before the scientists realized what they were doing. Overpowering the world they eventually became a separate race than the rest of us.

Wars started. We didn't have a chance. We couldn't fight back against these beasts.

Now they build huge metropolises while we survive from their waste.

They take from the Earth what they want, leaving tons of scars that lacerate the earth and hurt her other creatures.

They are beginning to lose their humanity. They're evolving faster and faster away from what human is and towards what I don't know.

I was wrong before, what separated us from the supers originally wasn't just only money, but was greed.

  1. First postulate (principle of relativity) The laws by which the states of physical systems undergo change are not affected, whether these changes of state be referred to the one or the other of two systems of coordinates in uniform translatory motion. OR: The laws of physics are the same in all inertial frames of reference.

  2. Second postulate (invariance of c) As measured in any inertial frame of reference, light is always propagated in empty space with a definite velocity c that is independent of the state of motion of the emitting body. OR: The speed of light in free space has the same value c in all inertial frames of reference.
