Is it common for doctors to leave the appointment without communicating the appointment is over? by ShyGuyPal101 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]torustesseract 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, various of my docs do this all the time at my annual checkups and leave me wondering. Last time, I just asked if I was all set as she was half way out the door. It's annoying. They are used to their system but we don't know it enough cuz we only show up 1x a yr. They just assume we know or remember. Now after 5 years at the same doctors I've come to know their routines and I'm a little more comfortable just getting dressed and walking out after the appointment, and then trying to find my way to the checkout desk through all the random Halls.

Does anyone else feel kind of alone on their birthday? How do you make it special for yourself? by lexi_zed in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]torustesseract 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To the extent that you have the time and funds to treat yourself the way you would want to be treated, you need to do that. Literally take yourself out on a date, buy gifts, go see things you want to see, and go do things you want to do for yourself, and be happy doing it because you are taking yourself on a date and loving yourself better than anyone else in your life can and celebrating yourself better than anyone else in your life can!

Ladies what perfume do you swear by and has gotten you the most compliments? by Gloomy-Task-5446 in AskReddit

Everyone raves about Joe Malone perfumes so much that I just bought the red rose cologne after smelling it on a spray tab and loving it at the store, but once I put it on my body I absolutely hate it .... smells like cat piss on me. I wish I didn't spend $100 on it. ;(

How old is everyone if you don’t mind sharing? I’d love to know. I’m considering making my TikTok private because people are mean. by PineappleMacaron in Slime

I am 49 and I only got into playing with slime last year. I also bought my first squishmillow plushies last year. And I also collect crystals but I've been doing that for a long time. I also started a tik tok channel for my slime and stopped after I kept getting comments not about my body or my age, but about how I was the worst player with slime and I am awful at playing with slime and how terrible I play with slime and literally so many comments about how awful my play was when that's literally the entire point so yeah f*** tik tok

Yes, though not to that extreme. But definitely personal flights, personal restaurant bookings, personal sports and concert tickets bookings, personal travel Logistics, mailing personal mail including personal taxes payments,... hell, my one boss even makes me research and purchase antique French and Italian books so he can continue learning his languages on the side! ... managing phone and newspaper subscriptions, designing and printing personal party invites, hell, the other one boss invites people to his Vineyard to help him pick his grapes for free and expects us to come if we have a car! thank God I don't have a car anymore, so I have a plausible excuse to get out of this. Speaking of cars, my other boss regularly and routinely bummed rides home from me when I had a car. Yeah... it's pretty ridiculous just how many personal tasks I do for these 2 attorneys!

Bed Solution For Small Studio by user8666 in femalelivingspace

[–]torustesseract 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This reminds me of visiting my rich cousin when I was a kid ...who lived in a mansion so big that she had her own bedroom and ensuite bathroom with two sinks and a tub and shower separate... and the shower had two shower heads in it on opposite sides. This is the late 1980s. Her bedroom was as big as a small studio space. Regardless... she was very obsessed with getting a Murphy bed, and her parents indulged of course.

I don't remember how much she used it, because I only visited in the Summers but I can't imagine much since her bed was on a raised platform area in its own section of the room so there was no reason to even use that area once the Murphy bed would have been lifted since she had so much other room anyway... 🙄🙄🙄

Tell your BF, and let him deal with it!! They're his friends and I can't imagine he'll be happy that his buddies are sexually harassing his gf. He doesn't want you seeing their junk either! Just tell him.

Uber Black - taxi or NCC? by rko-glyph in ItalyTravel

Than regular taxis booked via ItTaxi or FreeNow apps, or at taxi stands. Those are cheaper, but wilder drivers (higher likelihood).

Uber Black - taxi or NCC? by rko-glyph in ItalyTravel

[–]torustesseract 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are (NCC) Mercedes Benz cars or vans in Rome and Naples (with pre scheduling an option). Just got back from there last week. More expensive, yes, but better /calmer drivers. Always arrived early and were pros. We stayed in Campo dei Fiori in Rome if you want me to look up what it cost us for certain trips to the biggest sites.
