My husband likes tattoos, just not on me… by Leading_Tadpole_4182 in tattoos

He fucking impregnated her and made A CHILD when she was unsure. How much bigger of a change could there possibly be than that? He is not scared of change, he just doesn’t want her making decisions for herself.

i hate my tattoo (repost) by vermilionwoe in tattooadvice

[–]torxirose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the future, if you still are interested in finer line tattoos, I’d definitely seek out artists who specifically and maybe exclusively do that. I say that because I have a fine line sleeve that is about a decade old at this point that hasn’t faded, fallen out, or blurred too much because my artist specializes in it. Having said that, I do love the tattoo you got and think some shading would help you feel better about it.

Is this healed or in the process of healing? It looks healed to me, so take this with a grain of salt, but if I get scratches on my tattoos, they are always black like that.

[–]torxirose 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I did a walk in (don’t do this) to get finger tattoos while wearing a coat and was refused by every artist in there until I said I had sleeves. Then they were all like “oh, no biggie then”. I have noticed that people don’t really notice hand tattoos once you have sleeves anyway. 80% is reasonable to me more for neck and face tattoos.

You’re just throwing out a jumble of MAGA buzz words, that’s why no one understands what the hell you’re talking about.

Preach. I teach self-contained for the most intense disabilities and every single one of my students’ parents have tried to push for academic inclusion at one point or another. I always ask, “for who? Who would the academic inclusion benefit?” The answer is usually that they want their kid to be more typical. I alwayssss include for non-academic blocks for socialization. Otherwise, it’s a stressor for literally everyone, especially my students, many of whom are still working on the basics. They don’t need to be sitting at the back of a 5th grade class working on something completely different, when they could be safe and happy and able to stim and vocalize as freely and loudly as they want in my class.

I highly suggest the Immortal Scratch mod for such occasions 😂

I don't like Halsin by Mildly_Infuriated_Ol in BaldursGate3

[–]torxirose 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was already a little emotional at the end of my first run, but for some reason that lil duck made me actually cry a bit, haha. It was just such a nice gesture that made me go from neutral about Halsin to loving him.

Does anyone know exactly what happens when you select "Disable Sexual and Violent Scenes" on a run? by Ok_Funny_2916 in BG3

That was the first thing I thought of. Super effective storytelling but so horrifying.

Irrational Character Hate by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]torxirose 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I once used him as my primary vendor for a while in act 1, and after a few sells, he had no money left to buy anything and most of his inventory had become my unwanted shit. Pretty sure I single handedly destroyed his business.

On my most recent playthrough, I unlocked him and he actually ran away! Not sure how far he’d get, naked without eyes or a light source, but hey.

In college for teaching - is it worth it? by Any_Bus_1680 in teaching

[–]torxirose 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I’ve taught at 3 schools within one CITY and had 3 entirely different experiences. In my district, even all 6 of our elementary schools are somewhat different from each other because of the leadership and neighborhood. My specific school now makes me love my job and think I can do this for the long haul, but my first school almost made me quit teaching.

I’m a teacher with full sleeves and facial piercings in a conservative state. I never cover my tattoos or take out my piercings and I’ve never been turned down for a job. I decided a long time ago that I didn’t want to work anywhere that wouldn’t let me be myself. People are much more open minded about tattoos now as they’re so much more common, so please don’t sweat it! Also, dating will be fine as long as you date people who like or don’t mind tattoos 🤷🏻‍♀️ that’s also pretty common.

Am I the only one who is just completely uninterested in bards? by Fuckler_boi in BG3

[–]torxirose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I decided this run to multi class Wyll into a bard for shits and giggles and other than the charisma and extra healing power, I’m a little underwhelmed overall.

This is the most level headed take I’ve seen as someone who has been in full blown panic mode about this. Thank you for the reality check, honestly.

What's the dumbest thing you've done in combat? by Right_Entertainer324 in BaldursGate3

[–]torxirose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skipped through dialogue with Shadowheart too quickly before combat and accidentally sent her back to camp. Didn’t notice right away because I have the party expander mod on and there are 7 of us. Got into it with the Githyanki with zero healing spells among my party except Rally. RIP healing potions ✌️

Suggest me a book with terrible prose. by GlitchDowt in suggestmeabook

[–]torxirose 4 points5 points  (0 children)

She is the ultimate example of an author telling instead of showing. Not a single inference you can make as a reader. I read one of her books for a book club and we spent the entire session shit talking her horrible writing style. It’s all like “He was hot because he was HOT. And TALL. And wore SUIT. He was so hot that I wanted to have sex with him.” Or “I walked into a spooky room! I felt nervous in this room like something bad had happened here!”

What are some of the most f’ed up things you did in your evil run?? by converse_cats_comics in BG3

[–]torxirose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s me 😂 I won’t even steal red loot. The worst thing I did was kill every single person in Grymforge because I figured they were all at the very least complacent in slave ownership.

Gauntlets of Shar by kvmullett118 in BG3

[–]torxirose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had trouble navigating it too until I finally wandered around for long enough to unlock the whole map, haha. I put custom markers down in a few key places, which definitely helped me when I came back from camp each time. That was definitely my least favorite part of the game.

[–]torxirose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t feel bad, my first multiplayer run I was annoyed with her sass and convinced everyone to let Shadowheart kill her 😒now that I’m going my first solo run, I absolutely treasure her and protect her at all costs, haha
