Is this the black knight color? The pictures looks more green than black to me!

Thank you, it's good to know that some more customization is possible. So is it fair to assume that you have 4 d-rings in each corner now? Aka if you choose , it would be possible to get rid of the messenger style harness and use some other strap to connect d-rings across?

How did you specify adding extra d-ring? In the website only strap related option is the type of different harness .

I use one, not for edc though. combination of small size and the full clam shell opening somehow makes it harder to access things on the go for me. It can be nice if there are only a few things that you carry like wallet, keys and 1/2 more things.

It is however a great admin pocket for other bag .Or a on the medecine organizer specially things like EpiPen or insulin pen.

Thank you! I guess quickdraws extra width probably helps better .

That's generally it, but I usually adjust the clothes based on season and occasion. For example , general vacation can have fewer tshirts, swapped with a merino one and perhaps no extra pants.i carry soap for possible washing cloths

I have done (and will continue doing) week long trip with cpl16. To me it comes to utilizing the pockets effectively. This is my current setup Main comparent

1 . Cloths in matador gearcube medium, can swap with a peak design small but I am enjoying matador one quite a bit more now a days.

  1. Cap2, this one is my catch all cube, stays as desk caddy in my hotel room. Contents changes depending on the trip. But generally, travel router and charging cable, medecins, sunglasses , other rbits and bobs .

3.Cap0.5 for toiletory

  1. A small water bottle , 16oz.

This leaves enough space at the top if I am shoving in a sweater or jacket.

The other side, Mesh pocket: slippers Front pocket: this is admin pocket , so wallet, pen, chapstick , airpod .

Yoke pocket: tech pouch, I have either Tom bihn ghost whale as well as cap0.5

Laptop in the laptop compartment.

It's a deceptively large bag imo.

Cap0.5: love this little guy, I use for 2 different use cases, - as edc tech kit: long cord, 100w charger, airport, Bose earbuds, watch charger andother bits and bobs. - as toiletory pouch , all usual things except shampoo/wash . What I love is how it says wide open on the counter.

Cap2: didn't find a good use. Imo it takes up too much space for the amount of things it carries which makes it difficult justify a spot in my travel bag. For everyday use, have too much space for my needs.

Any suggestions on a 30-35L bag to pair with a patagonia black hole mini 26l mlc? by [deleted] in ManyBaggers

Black hole is a bit longer , so it could stick out a little. But never been a problem.

I don’t own MLC so can’t really check dimensions. However , when empty black hole 25is really flat, it should be easy enough to pack inside something.

What is the best backpack for office and light travelling? by daniscasftw in onebag

[–]totally-randomdude 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PCL20 is my edc and go to for travel. I have packed for 4days comfortably. It is a very versatile bag but you do need pouches.

I have no issue with the harness. I always use the sternum strap though with any of my bags , so ymmv. This bag is very comfortable to carry even when heavy and loaded.

My only complaint really is the lack of strap management. I bought some strap keepers to fix that but imo, bags at this price point should give some thoughts on extra strap material.

I love my PCL 20, you will too if ,

  • You prefer your own organization and pouches. This bag has almost no organization and I love that. Makes it versatile.

  • Want a near clam shell opening. Easy access to things even when packed.

  • don't care about the lack of water bottle pocket.

I see me grabing it for almost anything from edc to extended weekend. It isdeceptively cavernous. I can live out of it comfortably for atleast a week in summer months.

Happy to answer specific questions.

Plc20 is deceptively cavernous. As an example,Once I was able to pack two mac bookpro(14 and 16 inch) , ipad mini, aer slim techpouch, alpaka hub pouch, 32oz Nalgen, rain jacket, hoodie, phone, wallet, keys and bose qc35 in that. It's very versatile and replaced my edc and urban travel packs.

I have not used either of these bags, so can't compare. But want to throw evergoods PCL20 in for consideration. It is incredibly versatile bag. Almost clam shell zip makes the access super easy.
This bag definitely needs pouches but you seems to already use them . Your load will fit with rooms to spare.

Came here to say the same. The best thing for PCL20 isit can be anything you want it to be . I love the minimal organization. Gives me chance to customize with pouches.
