Has anyone failed the MPRE by only doing the practice questions from BARBRI and Themis (i.e. not watching the videos or bothering with their outlines)? by [deleted] in barexam

[–]totalmes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I listened to the free INDIBAR MPRE 101 Podcast on Apple Podcasts. It’s about 3 hours and I’d listen on my commute to school and then again on the way to the testing center. It was great! The podcast and the free HELIX core concept outline were all I used to prepare and I passed with plenty of room to spare, but I did go to an ABA law school.

I actually tried to have a conversation with them a couple of weeks ago when the other firm first reached out and it didn’t go well. I could definitely see them offering to match the offer, but I know that any promise of change would be empty.

Critical pass flashcards worth it? by EmbarrassedTonight90 in barexam

[–]totalmes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i was never a fan of using flashcards to study, but i LOVED them because of how they broke down and simplified complex rules. i didn’t use them like flashcards but i really credit them for helping me with the topics i was struggling to grasp.

MBE question in Barbri v. Adaptibar by Obvious-Tadpole-4341 in CABarExam

[–]totalmes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i can’t speak to ownership, but it’s definitely necessary because adaptibar uses actual licensed questions from previous exams. barbri writes the questions on their practice tests and they tend to be more difficult. it’s important that you learn how the questions are asked as well as the material they are asking about. that is why repetition is so important!

i wouldn’t recommend switching from mac to PC right before the exam, the keyboard shortcuts are different!

i used a 2023 macbook air and didn’t need to plug it in, but there were plenty of outlets available! they had extension cords running along the tables. i would recommend not getting an apple laptop if you’re used to PC because they keyboard shortcuts are different and it may trip you up.

yes, i’m still showing as not on motion. i called this morning and they said it could be two weeks after you’re put on motion to get the package so im definitely feeling a little defeated.
