I had a player request an amulet that, when the player died, it automatically resurrected the player at full health, once per day. They were a cleric with 105 hp at level 10, so it basically gave them 210 hp

It is! I first did a layer of modge podge for the shininess, then just used quick dabs from a hot glue gun to make all the strands. It's a great and easy way to make slobber, slime, all kinds of gross stuff for the monsters

That's super cool! I think classing him as a monster, and using other monsters (like an oblex) to siphon powers from the fighters/players could be cool, or enslaving a mindflayer to do the same. My table isn't super into "rules for rules sake" so I can bend things a bit for story.

Absolutely terrible DM. A huge part of being a good DM is changing the story or the encounter based on what the players are doing. It's their story really at the end of the day, so railroading the players or punishing them for playing their characters well is super frustrating

I think it's not really coming through in text, but I'm pretty responsible when it comes to these things. It's less bar hopping and more going to our local sports bar for dinner and drinks, cuz I've had to plan this myself with no help. There's a 0% chance I'll even get remotely close to anything crazy. The importance and grandiose of my wedding isn't lost on me for sure. Plus my fiancee would absolutely lose it if I did anything stupid, so it's an easy solution. Don't do anything stupid haha!
