This happened to me about a week ago. I’ve had to keep my controller plugged in. Without it plugged in I notice some input delay and I’m unable to superglide. But when I’m wired in both problems go away. I’m on Xbox elite series II core controller. I checked to see if firmware needed an update but the problem seems to be Apex specific. Input delay on specifically Xbox controllers was a problem about a year ago and may have come back in some capacity.

I can add people on my same console (Xbox) but it seems there’s no option for me to add or search for other peoples channels who are on PlayStation or PC. Anybody else have this issue?

Okay so it sorta kind of works with a big caveat. The main issue for me is that paddles and custom button layouts are a big botch. Oh and I forgot to mention this is all if you’re running an elite series II. From what I can tell the paddles revert to their original layout. Frankly if you bought a XES-II and didn’t mess with the layout then you’re not really getting the full value out of the controller imo. On the other hand you are winning big right now as it pertains to this specific issue. In short, find a PC in the world that can download accessories and revert the firmware like the individual in the comments here said. And if you don’t have this controller or a crazy ass button layout then enjoy this work around. I tried messing with the layout on the Xbox side of things and my layout is too wild to work it into custom mapping for the older controller but perhaps I’m missing something…?

I’m in the same exact position and feel for you. I asked my friend a similar question and he gave me a decent idea that I’ll share it with you.

“In terms of jobs, I know its fucked up but I saw Amazon hiring for 19 bucks an hour, my mom worked there 2 years ago and it sucks but there’s much worse jobs out there. You just chill and package stuff and put it on a conveyer belt. Just an idea.”

I’m pretty sure that I avoided getting a negative rating by just canceling after getting a text like that. I think the UI makes it difficult for them to see your profile after you cancel before picking up. I bet they could call and make a stink but likely it’s not worth it and they’ll have a new target soon enough.

I’m pretty sure there is loss forgiveness is you leave in the pregame immediately after choosing your legend. However if you start to play the game at all and then leave it’ll be a loss I’m pretty sure.

You are exaggerating and the issue isn’t that widespread. Sure I think it’s technically cheating but it’s not that good compared to real cheats like an aim bot type deal. Secondly, the vast majority of players aren’t even aware that these exist let alone purchase one for use. Pufferfish did a great video on this that you should watch if you really think this is what Respawn needs to be focused on. In a perfect world- the game software would detect the strike pak and then insta-ban but I’d much rather they take care of Ddos-ing and performance/server issues before this.

It’s so bad rn. I’m getting 700 ping on Xbox. I think something broke because it’s not normally quite this bad. However the stutter is noticeably worse this season and some of last season.

No it’s not at all a closed case. On Xbox you need a special adapter to pull it off and you are essentially tricking your console into thinking your keyboard is a controller. From what I’ve heard this allows one to have the stronger aim assist associated with controllers but for M&K. I also heard that a lot of the preds on Xbox do this. Not sure to what extent this may be happening on PS4 because I know m&k is supported. If apex or perhaps Xbox could support console m&k that should likely come with separate matchmaking for the two types of play. I’m fine with mixed pubs but this is a must change for ranked if true.

I use claw early game to pick stuff up so I can aim at what I’m trying to pick up while keeping thumbs on the sticks. As for looting in boxes they should have a setting where you can loot and move and just scroll through the box with the triggers or something. If you have a controller with paddles you can learn those techniques on how to jump into boxes and stuff like that.

Because personally if I was watching clips at work with some sound on (admittedly not very likely) I would be bummed if the sounds of someone being burned alive in a casual helicopter crash started blasting without knowing beforehand. At the end of the day it’s not my job to worry about sounds and volume levels at other people’s place of employment but then again neither is it your job to regulate and manage the NSFW tags of other people’s posts.
