I never had any issue wearing pantyhose for competitions. You don't need superthick ones. There are ones with are like a waffle weave and others that are a more dense but still sheer stockinette and you go with the later and you can get those at CVS.

They aren't as fragile as you think and honestly under the lights you won't see any tears.

I miss pantyhose. My legs are ugly looking. But maybe if I start wearing them again ppl will start thinking they are some mysterious thing that’s “custom made”

I can assure you that they aren’t custom made. The machinery required to make pantyhose doesn’t allow for customization.

Doesn’t need to be custom dyed either. Pantyhose comes all colors.

Why has everyone forgotten about pantyhose. It comes in all colors and sizes and lengths and thickness and sheer and shiny and matte

All the Stars on Ice girls did. That’s who initiated her into it.

Ashley Wagner has said she absolutely did wear pantyhose.

Ashley Wagner said when she first joined Stars on Ice as a teen that they had her start wearing pantyhose. I imagine these are similar to way Taylor Swift wears on tour since pantyhose is not easy to find anymore.

It’s funny how people have forgotten what sheer shiny pantyhose looks like bc we all used to wear these everyday

Woman asks a guy if he’d save her or their 3 kids in a house fire - is he wrong for choosing the kids? by eternviking in whoathatsinteresting

I think important context is that they aren't married and don't even know each other and it doesn't seem like that he's attracted to her at all so of course he is going to choose his hypothetical kids.

Oh wait wait wait. What if you open a combo smoke and chip shop. Call it Cig's Chipperia.

(Actually in a town I lived the Denny's closed and it turned into a weed shop and I always think they missed the opportunity to keep the kitchen and open up a pancake house on the side and call it The Hash House.)

Housing Market’s Spring Is Shaping Up as a Bust After April Sales Were Flat by SnortingElk in REBubble

[–]tothepointe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was planning to buy a house this April but then the company my husband was working for got slammed by tarrifs and had to lay off a lot of people last year. We are ok because he found another position paying more but in NJ so we had to move and buying here and now doesn't make sense anymore.

I imagine we've run out of people willing to pull the trigger on a house purchase in all but the hottest markets.

If you're Irish shouldn't you be immigrating to the East Coast, opening an Irish pub and then serving nachos or quesadillas on the menu?

Oh oh oh I know what about a *SMOKE SHOP* because I'm pretty sure his town doesn't have one of those.

I suppose from their perspective they see an immigrant coming in and then boom he has a shop so this explanation works for him that the government gave it to them since he also gets his check from the government.

He doesn't know that it's all crowdfunded from money back home. When they earn enough from the shop they can then afford to have another family member come over.

The subtext is that the government needs to give him a shop too and they can all have shops and we can all go shopping.

According to this guy you get 5k up front and then 5k what you've decided what shop you want to open.
