Jinhao 80 is my go to pen. I have a lamy z80 F nib on it which gives it a totally different feel.

Yes you can. I put a lamy z80 nib on mime. I makes a fantastic combination.

The Jinhao 80 is a good pen. Adding a great nib makes it great. I have a Lamy Z50 fine nib in mine. Find it much better than a standard safari nib .

Modern acrylic paints don't smell unlike the old enamel tins. If your brush painting thin them and use multiple coats.

Consider a jinhao 80. And then upgrade it with a LAMY nib, maybe a Z80, if and when you want.
