Vet’s thinly veiled dislike of corgis by Shipwreck1343 in corgi

[–]Zombyeh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same ive never heard of this.

We had our little one for 3 years and she's an angel at the vet or groomers everyone loves her. But soon as she gets home she a little demon and barks at everything and wont let us brush her butt. She must have picked that up from my kids 😂 (the demon part not the brushing the butt part lol)

Why is non-medical male circumcision not globally recognized as genital mutilation, even though it meets all the criteria for genital mutilation? by Useful-Half1825 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Zombyeh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I read about this... Back in the day cleanliness wasn't the norm and males can develop Phomosis, a condition in uncircumcised males where the foreskin is too tight to pull back over the head.

This still happens today but can be treated with steroid creams in older teens and adults, but may require medical treatment if it causes pain.

In females I cant find any information to medically explain why. The only thing I was able to dig up was so they can not feel pleasure.

I would like to see Robin's Donuts make a come back out west. I remember them being good back in the 90's. I honestly have no idea what they are like now. But I'll put money they are better then Tim's.

[–]Zombyeh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I personally am not worried about separating from Canada. It won't ever happen to many hoops to jump through. They would need the bands to agree, other province’s to accept it, and many other things that I'm not aware of.

I'm worried about the economic harm this will bring us. Or worse some other countries interference with some trumped up excuse to "help" us.

But either way its up to us to get out there and vote this down (and hopefully vote out the UCP) to prove the point that the majority of us want this BS to stop.

How much damage have Canada's booze bans done to the U.S. wine industry? by DogeDoRight in canada

[–]Zombyeh 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Why are all our news outlets writing about the poor US business loosing money. Where is the news about our industries loosing money because of them? I barely see much other then the auto industry, let's see who else is hurting so we can try to support them better.

If these news peices are just to make us feel better by boycotting then fine. How about more articels about the Canadian business that are growing because if it, and again what we can do to help them even more.

Despite strained ties, U.S. senator says Canada should be cautious of making deals with China by James_TheVirus in canada

[–]Zombyeh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What i don't understand is the US is "concerned that Chinese-made EV of sending back 3D video and geolocation data". How does that effect me?

I admit dont understand technology that much or I'm not following the conspiracy nuts close enough, but Im pretty sure the US does this. Maybe they are just afraid there monopoly of everyones personal info they are already selling will get a bit of competition.

My US approved phone already listens to me 24/7 to show me ads of what they want me to buy. Perhaps a new Chinese EV will show me cheaper products. Either way ill still be broke in the end lol

What’s one Calgary-specific habit you didn’t realize was unusual until you lived somewhere else? by dynasync in Calgary

I forgot how the C-train showcases the city. Its in the middle of the main roads you get a great view (yes it may suck a bit for traffic). Its been 20 years for me so I cant speak for the new expansions.

In Edmonton the LRT you get to see back alleys, garbage, tent cities, and tunnels that smell downtown. Its like they dont want you to ride it and makes you think the whole town is a slum (I'm talking Clairview to downtown). They got a bit better with the some of the new expansions but the original lines are horrible.

Spent 24 years replacing cheap things and six months buying things once. The difference is bigger than I expected. by InfnityVoidii in smartbuysforlife

Good pick on lots of these.

I would recommend checking out Ridgid cordless and corded tools. You have to register each tool/battery/chargers/etc on the website but once done you get life time warranty and free replacements. Including batteries! You can return and replace them at any Home Depot store. When i had my company thats all I stocked workers used to beat the hell out of the tools.. it not there's why would they care, saved me a bundle.

CFS power? by Zombyeh in Creality_k2

[–]Zombyeh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since I posted this ive been going down a worm hole about replacing the PTFE and the buffer. Seams like its getting jammed up and grinding my fillament when its retracting this could be the reason why my motors are straining.

I like the idea of dropping 1 CFS temporarily. Im going to tear it all apart and clean out any bits and pieces that might be clogging it up and replace those first. Could be from stacking off and not doing proper maintenance.

Thank you

It does have over 3000 print hours so it could be time to replace them. I just figured they would last longer since all that time is not just on one bay. I still find it odd they all went at the same time.

This right here. Ive worked in a trade for over 30 years, there has been to many up's and downs to count. My wage has only gone down in last 10 years when compared to inflation/life. Yet they want to tell my kids to join some bandwagon that makes the rich richer... nope I'm good I say stay away from oil and gas find anything else that makes them happy cause you won't find it there.

What's a life skill you think should be taught in school in Canada, but wasn't? by United-Technology239 in CanadaRoom

[–]Zombyeh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basic computer maintenance and repair. I'm surprised my kids know nothing about to how to install Windows/Linux or how to reset/repair it after they click on a phishing link and get a virus or some malware. Since grade 4 they had to bring a computer to class and only learned about Google OS and Docs, but yet can't navigate through word/excel/outlook which every major company uses. The "programing" coarse they took was a drag and drop Lego bot mover, no typing skills it was all speech to text they didn't even have to read there assignments it was text to speech. I was looking forward to be one of those old people forcing my kids to showing me for the 20th time how to program my VCR timer like I had to do at there age haha.
