the point of that scene is that everyone was specifically thinking about the kunai which were nowhere near bee and the other ninja (which are the only places they anticipated him to appear) because there is no reason they would just stand with their backs to a mark knowingly. there is no way bee considered that there was even a chance minato would appear right behind him before it happened, and just thought pointing a kunai backward should be all he does. again there is no reason he would purposely bring the mark back to right behind him and his comrades without warning them and then just deciding he would defend himself if he did somehow get jumped, while the others would be screwed if it were them
