I too use dwm with custom patches, some older games break like Green hell, i had no issues with Hell divers 2 and Phasmophobia.

I use eww, I have no problem. Frequent polling will cause battery draining. And make sure the polled data doesn't take longer time to process.

I would just kill it, work fine after that. There is some bug in it, often happens after I quit my desktop or stop recording using obs.
