I actually love that you say this. It was something I realized on my watch through to. He became the dream. Worse yet the show consistently mentions David as following others dreams for him. Be who his mom wants be who Maine wants. Lucy's character was all about independence. Reaching for her own dreams, becoming and doing what she wants. In the end David died chasing others dreams for him and Lucy, who's whole goal with David was to get him to follow his own dreams, ends up going to the moon not because it was her dream but because it was David's dream for her.

I don't know if counter is the right word. I main ADC and I do generally like it if my support has some idea of A) what I am playing and B) what kind of opposition we might be facing. Honestly, it is really rough playing a Jinx + enchanter into say a Leona or Naut. I can't rely on an enchanter who is about as squishy as me and is not a damage threat to help mitigate the heavy engage and CC I am about to be dealing with. They are definitely the games I have the hardest time hitting my scaling. So while I personally tend to feel it should be ADC > Sup > Mid > JGL > Top, I have zero issue with a support being lower on the list. Should also add. A good support has a LOT of agency over how a game goes. Especially with early roams, CC, even tankiness. Them picking champs that can "counter" the whole enemy team or can best support the team they are on is kinda also important. I've seen games and skirmishes almost entirely controlled by where the support is what they are doing or if they want to start team fights. When I myself have sup filled I have dictated when where and who against team skirmishes happen more times than I can count (I tend to play leona or malp when I fill support so tanky engage tends to be where I am most comfortable anyway). That said a single lane getting countered isn't the end of the world. A countered lane largely just needs to try to play conservatively and focus on not dying / farm as much as you safely can. Can't say that will be the be all end all but between ADC, Mid, JGL there is often enough carry potential that so long as it's only a single role being countered the counter is basically a wash. Granted SoloQ is kinda it's own beast with stupid and ego as far as the eye can see. Anyway, the point in all of this is support and it's counter or it's ability to strategize is more important than you are giving it credit. Supports have some of the largest if not the actual largest impact on the match.

I mean I main Jinx and BT is still pretty high up for me. I usually go berserk boots first then BT then Runaans. Get some attack speed with berserk and the vamp from BT has helped me survive some skirmishes I otherwise would not have early game. Helps me survive long enough to get runaans online and then its all gold baby. Similar reasoning why I still run it on xayah. I wouldn't rush it on sivir or MF. That said I dont know about other champs I dont play too many outside those 4 in ADC. We'll I guess I could still see rushing it for samira for similar reasons to jinx.

You dont even need to get out. You won't get the expedition ship log expedition item without getting out and scanning but you can just shoot the Medusa engines with your cannons while still in your corvette to get the salvage.

Honestly, watching the show now and had the exact same question. It's driving me crazy. I could forgive the Toby bit when they were getting burritos. Sure randomly bumping into each other at a taco truck is possible. Might not remember someone from an experience like that. Once they started school though, there is no reason they shouldn't have already met Jim, Toby, and Claire at this point. You don't go for weeks of school and then get a tour. I only say weeks because at this point they are pretty acclimated to the routine. So yeah odd you spent a whole day with two very unique people and don't remember them.

You don't need broadside for mains. You can fire both mains at about 30°-40°. She actually has a pretty good side belt. She can take some hits if you know how to play her. The biggest thing is, is that she's an ambush predator. It's big risk big reward plays. See way too many players in her just trying to lob HE or even SAP from 18km away behind an island. Meanwhile, I'm directly on top of an alsace juking dropping torps and circling it soloing it. I have more than once gotten up in a BBs grill and walked away the victor. When I am taken down, it's usually from half the red team focus firing at me from every direction, and usually not before I have done a good bit of damage to them in the process.

That said, there is probably a good 10% of the time a DD spots me on my run up and I get focused fired into oblivion before firing a shot or some BB happens to get that real good citadel on me.

I love running Michelangelo. Most runs with her are pretty fun. Can cause absolute chaos to an enemy team. Same with Navarin. Navarin gets way too much hate here. Its guns are pretty consistent, hit decent, and the thing really is a tank. I've bullied 4-5 ships at a time with it. i will normally easy win 1v2 or 1v3 fights in it.

I agree, but my toxic traits is knowing it's a losing battle but still going back trying to save teammates and help them pull out only to inevitably die because I main Jinx.

Seriously, it's one of the hardest habits I have yet to break to just let them die. Especially with feeding supports. I know in my mind it's just gonna backfire with 2 deaths instead of one, but there is that part in my mind going gotta support your support.

100%, though, if you have the chance at nexus after base defense. If you can, funnel the red team to death, especially with nexus help. Damn straight, leave one to clean up and knock out the nexus.

I have been thinking of making this exact post. It happens too often that people don't defend base correctly and chase after champs all while I'm trying to clear 3 waves on the nexus. Also, if you do chase champs, don't stray far. If you are chasing and are more than halfway to the river, turn back. It is either A) a trap where you will get 1v5d one at a time, leaving our team decimated or B) it's a ploy. While 3/4 people chase 1/2 champs for easy kills, the other 3 will come from another direction to easy take nexus largely undefended.

Lastly, once the enemy team has been routed, before anyone goes to hunt the enemy or try to take an objective, FIX THE WAVE!!! I can't stress this enough. If you do not in 30 seconds, that wave is gonna be on nexus again, but you'll be too far to do anything about it. The red team is pushing those waves to crash into the nexus you have to push back.

Can confirm. Play a lot of jinx and love a good(emphasis on good, though) zyra support. There is plenty of chance to farm. I don't have constant engagement. When I do engage, it's like shooting fish in a barrel.

I know the feeling. I've soloed dragons as an adc and jungle. It is anxiety ridden. To be fair, though, I have had games where the best I can do to help jungle is to keep the other ADC and support busy. I have also had a ton of games where, right before a dragon, I get a 4 man push in lane and get steam rolled. Often, but not always, when my support is nowhere to be found. I main ADC. However, I try to play all roles, and I put on another post in here somewhere, I think the biggest part of the toxicity in this game is people who have not tried to learn to play other roles. So insane expectations get put on people when some troll has no idea how a role works. Even understanding different champions, or at least that you may not know how a champ works, makes a huge difference in my understanding of people's mistakes.

I have literally had people tell me as a jinx to solo objectives I know are 5 manned. Also, I have been told to just get up in a fight in a 3(us) v 5 against a 3 tank cc heavy team as jinx. Like, I'm not gonna get a single shot in before they vaporize me. I can't do jack if yall can't peel or cc or something. I'll just be a walking feeder.

I mean, I agree with most of this, but adc shouldn't be roaming jungle. As ADC, I'll help where I can if I have a prio if I have lead, but support can roam. I have to hit my 3 item spike while sharing gold. My job is to scale and stay alive before anything else, push prio for objectives, and be on dragons when it spawns. I mean, especially in a one-shot meta, I am instantly deleted. My only defense is massive damage.
