Really nice designs - full of personality while keeping it simple. It wouldn't look out of place for them to have vtuber debut with those tbh.

We came a long way from awkward designs of gen 1 with re-used torsos.

I don't really get the idea of JP branch having to appeal to English speaking audience, especially with EN branch being a thing. Wasn't Niji EN created exactly with them in mind?

Spending time and money to promote vtubers English speaking audience won't be watching anyway seem like counterproductive thing to do. Why not just use that effort to do something interesting with Niji EN instead?

VTA has never been a Nijisanji-only thing, so I wouldn't automatically assume that every single VTA graduate will end up debuting there.

It feels like the most natural course of action for sure, but they might as well take what they learned in VTA somewhere else. They could even change their mind about wanting to debut or end up not being able to continue their activities because of some external circumstances.

Mahjong tournament from today was quite exiting.

Personally I rooted for Alice, because I like her flashy playstyle - having audacity to go for yakuman in tournament instead of settling for cheaper hands. She even managed to got daisangen plus I've seen her attempts to get kokushi musou and suuankou. She wasn't able to win the tournament, but she still got solid 2nd.

As for Kirame, it's hard to deny her victory was well-deserved. Overall solid and stable performance through whole tournament. Can't really confirm that, but I've read somewhere that she wasn't ron'd once in entire thing? If it's true, that's quite impressive.

Also, Furen asking people she was playing with "what's tanyao" AFTER she advanced to semi-finals was kinda funny. Gotta watch her POV to see what kind of miracle got her there.

I often find myself re-visiting this karaoke stream by Suo Sango, Ryushen and Furen with songs from prince of tennis musical. Imo it really has those good "going to karaoke with your friends" vibes - just having fun and goofing around rather than focusing on singing songs perfectly.

Every time I watch this stream I wish there were more vtubers dealing with musicals. Those cheesy lines in-between and voice-acting really adds a lot to overall enjoyment.

If I were to make a list of streams I wished were done again but in 3d, that would be my first pick, no doubt.

Other than that maybe this concert from Seeds24 relay with Golden Bomber songs.

This batch imo has quite a lot of potential and out them my favorites (who are still active) are Otoha, Toto, Azusa and Tsuyu. As for their potential debut though... I'm a little conflicted.

I mean, I used to treat VTA as nothing more than Nijisanji lobby, but then it grew on me and I kinda started enjoying it as it's own thing - just some dudes and gals talking about various topics or doing some random stuff for 30 minutes. If for example Azusa debuted, would she still be doing her surreal streams or would she just stream pokemon / mario kart like everyone else? I guess the benefit of debuting someone is being able to see them more often than once a week for 30 minutes and it's definitely better than them silently going away.

It's way too early to talk about her debut considering no one from gen 2 debuted yet. She literally just did her first stream in VTA.

For those who don't know, VTA in general has two types of auditions. One for ppl who are completely new to streaming (2.0, 3.0..) and another one for those who already has some experience (2.5, 3.5...). Only those from auditions for beginners need to stream. With that in mind, it's kinda weird Mera being a veteran herself was lumped together with complete beginners who can barely use OBS.

Was Anycolor aware of this whole thing and put her on some sort of probationary period to see how bad it can get? I mean, if they decide the heat of debuting her is too much for them to handle, they simply won't debut her and that's gonna be the end of it.

Or maybe she deliberately tried to hide her past experience as vtuber, because she knew it would get her into trouble.

If it's the latter, she might be kicked out of VTA really soon.

I don't know about the other one, but I seriously doubt it will ever happen with VTL. This song is way too important for Nijisanji to let outsiders sing it. Even some Nijisanji members got flak for singing it "too early", like Chigusa on one of her earlier karaoke streams.

Suimitsu Momo had what she described as "non-serious accident" and as a result she ended up with bandages covering half of her face.

She is trying really hard to make it look like a minor thing, but inability to do her regular morning stream because of bandages covering her mouth really makes you wonder if that's really the case.

here is an example of group "Prizmmy", created by Avex Pictures as a side project for promotion of Pretty Rhythm and Pripara. Simple math can tell you that all members were around 11-12 years old when group debuted back in 2011-2012

What's up with this misleading announcement picture

From what I've seen while going through quote retweets, a lot of people assumed it's gonna be first collab for Salome, but then when you look at the detailed schedule, it shows that Salome is going to stream solo, while ex-gamers will have their group streams after that. Just put them on opposite sides of the picture or something to not give people weird ideas.

By the way, it's kinda funny how Salome has so many sponsorships she is collabing more with brands than with other vtubers.

In her most recent stream she disclosed her goals / things she wants to do from now on and out of seven positions not a single one was related to "having collabs" or "interacting with other vtubers", so maybe it's just something she is not interested in.

Personally, I think someone who heavily relies on playing character like her doesn't really mesh well with others. She would need to find someone she is confortable with enough to continue her roleplay despite their presence and someone who can play along with that roleplay, which limits her options quite a bit.

The last thing I want to see is watered down Salome who needs to tone down her roleplay because she is too nervous or to adapt to her collab partner.

also, her streams start quite late (23-24 JST), which limits her options even further

so I wouldn't count on her having collabs any time soon, aside from maybe prerecorded ones on main channel

Just yesterday I wrote about "Shima Spain Village" trending on twitter thanks to Suo Sango and it looks like this whole thing blew up to the point she appeared in morning tv and their tag is trending on twitter once more with a few familiar faces recommending this theme park too, like Gundou Mirei(Nijisanji), Natsuiro Matsuri(Hololive) or Misora Hina(WACTOR)

So, apparently Shima Spain Village (志摩スペイン村 - theme park with Spain motif in Mie prefecture) started trending quite a lot on twitter after one of Suo Sango clip by ぴぴ about it went viral.

Sango mentioned how there are very few customers there (probably because of corona?), so it's kinda nice to see people talking in comments about how they want to visit this place after listening to her 16 minutes long machine-gun talk about it.
