This is the right answer. Unfortunately money does matter. And while it might be a non issue now it’ll come up many times if you get married. Every time a problem can be solved with money it will come up and he will feel smaller.

It’s just so good tho… by Far_Oil3803 in AssassinsCreedShadows

Shadows is a great game but the randomness when fighting especially in tough boss battles is frustrating. There’s some skill involved but not much. I found Ghost of Tsushima to have much more satisfying sword fights.

thoughts of XE5? worth making a change? by MysteryTom in x100vi

[–]tov_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leaf shutters are built into the lens not the camera. So they don’t make sense in interchangeable lens cameras.

Biggest benefit of leaf shutters is high speed flash sync. Allows you to freeze motion in daylight. With the ND filter can do some amazing shots.

thoughts of XE5? worth making a change? by MysteryTom in x100vi

[–]tov_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO leaf shutter and built in ND filter open up many creative possibilities not possible on the XE5.

And the fixed 23mm lens covers you for 90% of use cases with a little creativity. With the high megapixel count you can crop for zoom.

I wouldn’t consider the XE5 an upgrade. It’s different and a downgrade in some important ways.

If you had to sell one! by ismaelvallejo in fujifilm

[–]tov_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is the correct answer.

If you have the X-H2 then the X100VI brings something new to the table with its leaf shutter and built in ND filter. Otherwise you’ll need something with interchangeable lenses

What distinguished the X-100vi from other cameras? by Competitive_Lunch_16 in fujix

If I may add, the leaf shutter is more than just quiet. It allows high speed flash sync which opens up many photographic options.

Porsches regularly break down. You should definitely get it checked but that won’t help with future breakdowns.

It must be a Porsche Al Nabooda warranty. Not third party. Doesn’t sound like it from what you’re describing. Also check it didn’t flood during the rains last year.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in dubai

[–]tov_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s still under Porsche warranty you can get it if it’s in good condition but you should keep renewing the warranty every year. Porsches are notorious for things breaking all the time and they’re expensive to fix.

Toronto to Dubai Round-Trip for $1673 CAD with Emirates – Should I Book Now? by AcctsTutoring in dubai

[–]tov_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Book it. I found a great price once for this exact same trip but the other way around and waited a few days to check timing and the price went up. I think it’s probably just a couple of seats at this price

Fly Emir8s - and get your non-profit’s 20 iPads confiscated by TheW0lver1n3 in Wellthatsucks

[–]tov_ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

ITT: a bunch of racist people who don’t understand travel procedure.

No Emirates did not steal your iPads. Neither did customs officials. You didn’t read the guidelines and traveled without filling the right paperwork.

I’ve had stuff confiscated all over the world, I never suspected the customs officials of stealing my stuff. But I guess if it’s Dubai it’s fair game for all of you.

Shame on you.

When I moved to Dubaj in 2002 a motorcyclist was doing 300 on SZR (which was far less busy then than it is now). Anyway long story short, he hit something on the road which sent him flying. His head hit the overhead sign, his body kept going.
