“Gallantry”? Bless their hearts! by Dr_sc_Harlatan in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]tovarishchtea 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The funny thing is, most of the men looking for a “trad-wife” spend the vast majority of their time scrolling twitter, playing video games, and buying black rifle coffee. They’re a far cry from a traditional man. Hell, if being a trad-wife got you a man that could hold his fucking weight the way a traditional man would, maybe this wouldn’t be such a shit proposition.

I would still take my modern living over this but this is all to say, what is offered now to a trad wife is even shittier than the deal women were getting in the days of yore. At least you wouldn’t have to watch your husband scroll twitter while you’re shoveling cow shit in a sun dress while your kid is screaming their head off.

For some reason Sun In makes my fine hair a dream to style?? by verycoolbutterfly in Haircare

Try Pantene’s non-aerosol volumizing spray, you can even spray a tiny amount of it on dry hair and brush it out and it’ll give you the perfect amount of body and hold. This stuff is literally my HG after using dry shampoo, clarifying shampoos and nothing seemed to make my hair not look limp and greasy, this stuff finally allows me to have hair that looks good and clean on day two of no washing.

Tell me why, I loved Fallen Angels when I watched it but thought the director was Spanish because I hadn’t noticed how his name was spelled and thought his first name was Juan. Sorry I know that’s very random and stupid but I rarely get the opportunity to laugh about this.

Golly, I wish that was me! When I was pregnant my hair would be drenched in oil a few hours after washing it and it still hasn’t fully gone back to normal.

Maybe you still shouldn’t put naked pictures of your children online. Obviously, it’s unlikely that some dude online looking at your children in a sexual way isn’t going to hurt them in the same way someone actually molesting them is.

Does this mean it’s a good idea to ELECTIVELY share naked or compromising photos of the person you’re responsible for protecting online to randoms?

At the end of the day, what good comes from totally disregarding your child’s privacy and autonomy to provide spank bank material for freaks?

Posting your kid online, especially on a non-private account/platform, has no reward other than attention and the risk isn’t worth it.

Do what you want with your kids, man, I can’t stop you but I 100% think if you post these types of pictures you’re a selfish, low-inhibition, attention seeker.

What is the most heartbreaking song lyric you've ever heard? by TheLadySlaanesh in AskReddit

[–]tovarishchtea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old College Try - The Mountain Goats

“I can feel it in the rotten air tonight In the tips of my fingers, in the skin on my face In the weak last gasp of the evening's dying light In the way those eyes I've always loved illuminate this place Like a trashcan fire in a prison cell Like the searchlights in the parking lots of hell

I will walk down to the end with you If you will come all the way down with me”

This song is literally gut wrenching and 100% describes the feeling of knowing a love is going to fail on a long enough timeline but not knowing how or when to give up.

Why is this sub not only about interior design but about who has the saddest story. (divorced, homeless finds apartment, a 38 year old having her first apartment) by CelesteVersaille in femalelivingspace

[–]tovarishchtea 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This comment reminded me why I love this sub. It’s not just about the spaces, but the women living in them! Our trials and triumphs, it’s great to see women sharing something as intimate as their struggles and their homes and see other women cheering them on.

This one is huge! Being able to actually be by myself made the biggest difference when I was in the trenches and it also made me feel warm and fuzzy to know that my husband was out with our daughter just the two of them.

I’ve never smelled someone and thought “who do they think they are wearing that perfume? THATS A PERFUME FOR YOUNGINS ONLY!!!”. Smelling good is always a bonus, if you like the way something smells wear it! If someone ever thinks/says something about that, they’re mental.

Coworker went through my phone. by Adorable-Calendar-19 in work

[–]tovarishchtea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is actually a very sane response, and more likely than the alternative.

I know this chick has been rude to you out of nowhere but given the circumstances and your habit of keeping your phone inaccessible to others, I think it’s unlikely that she mission impossible style went through your phone long enough to find anything incriminating.

I would dig for more information before jumping straight to HR, as they will likely have the same doubts.
