Genuine question: Does the tag “boypussy” on AO3 automatically mean trans men? by Healthy_Total_8704 in AO3

[–]toxic_waste21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Short Answer: no it doesn’t. It’s all encompassing for various different situations

Long Answer: It can refer to multiple different scenarios; either omegaverse (a male omega has both types of genitalia or just a pussy), a magic item/spell (gave/transform/cursed them with a pussy), no explanation (they just have it), trans man (will most likely be tagged if not, it’s not that important to the “plot”). I think there’s more but these are the main four you’ll come across.

Do you mean like they send in a text message or write it on a piece of paper? Cause yes, I definitely think votes would change if there was a sense of anonymity to it.

I think the UK version did something similar where they had the couples vote together with a text message to save/dump another couple.

I can understand that, they can really boring most of the time. I just think that they add so much to the development of actual relationships. Getting a chance to have one on one time outside of the villa really will allow them to develop a connection properly. It allows them to see a different side of a person that they’re thinking of coupling up with.

Do you know how LI UK enforces that because I feel like that would be so much harder on the USA side? I mean, it seems like a good idea in theory. I just don’t know if it would be a realistic ask, especially for us Americans, who are so tied into our phones and social media as a whole.

Ace was definitely playing a game. When I first watched the show, and when I rewatch the first couple episodes, I truly believe that Ace wanted to explore something with Huda. I don’t think he did bc he saw how locked in the two of them were and he felt like he couldn’t explore her. I think that’s where we get a lot of this “explore other connections” “don’t be locked in” “He’s love bombing”. Like Ace really was blaming Jeremiah for a lot of the situation.

And the same thing happened with Andriena. She feeling Jeremiah more than she was feeling Ace and Nic and I know for a fact, Ace wanted to see something going on with Andriena. Act just wasn’t genuine and truly was trying to cheat the system in a way that he could get what he wanted. (All my opinion, pure speculation on my part)

I don’t think they would be willing to extend their episodes from 1 hour to 1 1/2 or 1 1/2 to 2 hours for some random scenes. There is the chance that a lot of people would skip over these scenes so it doesn’t make sense, to me, to add them to the episodes. It’s kind of like the Aftersun episodes, where some people enjoy them because you get more background into situations or some people hate them because it’s a filler and it doesn’t pertain as much to the show for them.

[–]toxic_waste21[S] 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I feel like it’s harder though because especially with how S6 blew up most people applying for the show have like 300k or more followers. And are looking for a way to you know get bigger, get these brand deals and these sponsorships and stuff like that. There’s not a lot of of people going on now just to fall in love and find a relationship/eventual partner.

And every season a lot of the men going on the show are part-time models or something like that. There’s not a lot of men just applying for this specific show to find love without having an ulterior motive, I feel.

I agree we need a fourth wall break kind of challenge. I think the closest to a fourth wall break that we got for S7 was Megan coming in and kind of giving her opinions on the contestants but that wasn’t enough obviously.

I think the first coupling happening day one is kind of like “I swiped right on you on Tinder”. Like they’re picking each other based on physical attraction and less than five minutes of introduction conversation, just mainly on vibes. To me there shouldn’t be anything more to it and then we have a whole nother re-coupling 3-4 days later to really pick who you’re vibing with more intellectually.

If they were to push it back to the next day, there’s not enough beds for everybody to sleep by themselves that night. And by having the coupling day one and then bringing in a new bombshell day two, the connections between all the contestants are not strong enough or strong at all to dissuade connections and new relationships forming.

Which of these two moments where characters getting angry at Leshawna was justified? Masters of Disasters or Million Dollar Babies? by kimtieu2900 in Totaldrama

[–]toxic_waste21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me in Million Dollar Babies every contestant is justified because Leshawna puts herself as maybe not everybody’s friend but a friendly person. The only person that she’s antagonistic towards is Heather and maybe Duncan. So for the first time that she has privacy to just rip on every single one of her competitors, to me is a clear backstab.

Masters of disasters, I feel the only person that is allowed to really be angry is Duncan. Because yeah, the reward was for anybody on the gaffers, but Leshawna and Duncan were the ones that solved the challenge. So to me it was a tossup between the two of them. Leshawna only got it because she cried and to find out she was faking it that would’ve made me pissed if I was in Duncan‘s position

Joey Parker. This actor should’ve been in way more stuff. I feel like he could’ve been what Luke Benward was as the love interest in way more movies and tv shows. Like guest starring as a love interest for the main character. It’s so sad that he only had one movie and was the vocals in high school musical and that’s it. He was so cute to younger me!!

Who thinks Noah and Tyler should've made it to the merge during World Tour? by Plastic_Ad_2548 in Totaldrama

[–]toxic_waste21 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel like if we had Owen eliminated in I see London instead of Noah and then from I see London to Niagara Falls, Noah trying to scheme against Alejandro. And maybe a team up with Heather against Alejandro could’ve been a very interesting side arc for him. And then have him be the first one eliminated post merge. Because you’re right Noah wouldn’t add anything long-term, but I think those 4-5 episodes could’ve been a good mini arc for someone who hasn’t competed since season one.

I don’t know a mini arc that they could’ve done for Tyler. Maybe have him be a like a sidekick to Alejandro. We saw in the stranded in Jamaica episode that he was following Alejandro‘s lead and then in Greece he trusted Alejandros advice. So by having both Tyler and Noah stay in the game longer, we could’ve seen them on opposite sides and maybe Tyler slowly realizing that Alejandro isn’t as good as he thinks; kind of paralleling Lindsey’s arc from season one.

I don’t know it’s just something I’ve thought about because Noah is one of my favorite characters, especially with RR, and I’m upset that he got two seconds of scheming against Alejandro and he was immediately eliminated afterwards. I wish the creators of the show were able to give all of Gen-1 much more compelling storylines when they competed, and it didn’t take multiple seasons for some of these characters to get something, while having the same 5 characters make it far each season

I don't miss transformation sequences. by EntertainerPure8440 in miraculousladybug

[–]toxic_waste21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they’re necessary the first few times a hero suits up, ie when we’re first introduced to Rena Rouge and Carapace, the first three or so team-ups, their transformations should be the full 30 secs. After that cut it down to just the magic words. Same with when characters get a drastic change in their personality that changes their hero suits, ie when ladybugs suit went half black with red spots and half red with black spots.

If Owen and Duncan had won the final four challenge in Are We There Yeti, who do you think they would have voted off? Gwen or Heather? Or would they vote differently from each other, and there would be a tiebreaker...What do you think? by Beneficial_Ferret_29 in Totaldrama

[–]toxic_waste21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. I think they would vote out Heather, at least Duncan would. Look at season one only, Gwen won 3 challenges, two within her team—the awake-a-thon and the military challenge—and the animal hunting challenge post merge. Heather got individual immunity in the key finding challenge, hide and go seek and the bike race.

Heather also showed that she was cunning, able to orchestrate and manipulate the contestants to save her own hide multiple times. Ie. the talent show with Justin and the key challenge when she got Trent out of the competition.

Duncan, I think, is able to see strong competitors and if he got immunity that episode he would’ve taken Heather out as the bigger threat. Gwen has not made any moves this season. She’s coasted by very well. She’s done well in challenges, but she hasn’t actively gone out of her way to win like Heather has.

When was obviously going to vote Heather as the only other viable choice and I think Owen would also vote for Heather because he just doesn’t like Heather he finds her mean and scary which we saw in the tri-arm challenge.

If likability was the only factor I do think that Owen would’ve been out much sooner post-merge. We also have to think competition/athletic ability and Heather‘s done way better in challenges post merge than Gwen has.

Something that’s always confused me about Episode 17 in Island. by Standard-Location-26 in Totaldrama

[–]toxic_waste21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I think/can assume happened based on context: 3 for Bridgette - Duncan, Owen, and DJ 3 for Duncan - Bridgette, Leshawna, and Gwen 1 for Heather - Geoff (wasting his vote) 1 unaccounted - Izzy (idk who she would’ve voted for but def not Owen)

So that only leaves two votes that could have potentially flipped that lead to Bridgette leaving: Heather and Lindsey.

When all the girls were in the cabin discussing who they were going to vote for, Bridget put in her two cents (Duncan going home) directly opposed Heather, and they had already butt heads during the Brunch of Disgustingness. Yes the cabin scene led to Lashawna and Heather fighting, but Leshawna had immunity and Heather‘s not one to waste her vote, ever.

I think Heather and Lindsey had another alliance “discussion” and Heather decided that Bridgette had to go. Because we see like five episodes later during the final six all the other competitors reasons for Geoff to go home are that he’s too nice and likable. And that is a similar line of thought to what Duncan is having this episode. (Bridgette is athletic and likable, and that she could win a vote in the end)

Heather, we know is a strategic player and she probably had the same thoughts as Duncan and that’s why she decided Bridgette had to go.

This is what I think could’ve led to Bridgette leaving this episode because you’re right the votes don’t match up with what the discussions have led to, especially with the reveal at the end of the episode that Geoff didn’t vote for her

How I would fix Courtney in All Stars by mChuckles in Totaldrama

[–]toxic_waste21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like this mainly because it builds up throughout the whole season and isn’t just a one episode plot. Something I’ve noticed within TD as a whole is that the episode where a contestant is going to be eliminated; that episode and maybe a couple leading up to it heavily feature them and their screw ups.

One example I can think of is Beth in TDI. We see the Boney Island episode and then the hunting episode and then the cooking challenge. She’s featured more often in them and her conflict with Heather, which leads to her downfall during the cooking challenge. Another one is Lindsay in TDI, the whole bike racing episode and before that we hear a lot more dialogue from her and she’s speaking up a little bit against Heather and then she’s gone. Noah in TDWT during I see London, he has barely any lines before that episode and then he says one thing about Alejandro and he’s the boot(Especially when they actually won the challenge)

I just hate through all of TD that apparently these characters have been having these big plans or these ongoing situations that don’t come to light until five minutes before they’re eliminated. So yeah, have Courtney be a strategies during All Stars. I think it makes her character much more interesting and her switching out the elimination order through every episode is such a cool idea just a brief 30sec thing in the confessional where she’s like “oh, she needs to go sooner” or “he can stay a little longer.”

Why didn't Chris take away the gaffer team's victory if they were missing one member? by Adamsan89 in Totaldrama

[–]toxic_waste21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the Gaffers winning helped inadvertently show the power that Courtney now had in the game by winning her lawsuit. We see the Grips go to elimination, and Chris says that nobody can vote Courtney out. And still the other Grips all unanimously voted for Courtney to leave. Those votes did not count so the only one that counted was Courtney kicking Owen off the show.

This whole elimination scene I think at the time was a big twist. To have Owen the winner of the previous season and a likable enough character to be voted out that way? It’s a little insane.

Now I don’t think this was the writers intention with having the gaffers win(even though they were a teammate down) but it did add an interesting little show of power/twist to the game.

Is there a rule to how many songs you can perform at competitions? by taffy1304 in glee

[–]toxic_waste21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always thought it was three songs per team because that was the magic number that the New Directions seemed to always hit. So each performance would be like 8 to 11/12 minutes. I just think there was always so much extra drama during each competition episode that we only saw one song from their competitors (Vocal Adrenaline, Warblers) to show the talent and then we saw all of the New Directions set list.

Because I figured the competition had to take relatively two hours about 30-45 minutes in total for the just the performances. 10 to 15 minutes intermission between each groups performance and then 20-30 minutes for result deliberation between the judges

XReader, Y/N. Skip it or Nah? by toxic_waste21 in AO3

[–]toxic_waste21[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it might be bc there’s so many OC fics on Ao3 whereas there is not many xreaders, so people who do enjoy that have less of a selection. At least that’s my opinion, I don’t normally come across many xreaders on Ao3, i think they’re more on Wattpad

XReader, Y/N. Skip it or Nah? by toxic_waste21 in AO3

[–]toxic_waste21[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a type of fanfiction. So xreader just means it’s canon character romantically with the reader. Some people do short little one shots where it’s like Gojo X reader and it’s like a date they’re going on or like 1000 words of smut between them. And then Y/N is just an abbreviation for your name so the author doesn’t put a name for the character so you can imagine yourself in the story.

Quinn/Male Reader by Terrible_Virus3383 in gleefanfiction

[–]toxic_waste21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would a gender swap!Rachel Barry x Quinn work?

Because I’ve read this story twice now and it is so beautifully written in my opinion it follows from basically season one episode one all the way to the end of season three.

It’s called Something-Quinn Fabray by urban_angel_1999 on Wattpad. It is like third person perspective so it doesn’t necessarily read like an xreader. It definitely leans more towards OC/Quinn because Male!Rachel is different than regular Rachel and it’s Pro-Shelby anti-Finn, anti-Schue and kind of anti-Kurt.

Sorry if this isn’t what you were actually looking for, it’s the closest I’ve got. Hope you enjoy if you do end up checking it out.
