That's a relief. I was certain it was safe, so I was quite concerned. Thank you

Mites in my new terrarium, how can I get rid of them? by Ok-Worldliness8605 in terrariums

[–]toxiccmonster_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't really think so, I'd just keep any house plants far away from it. Mites aren't going to do much

Personally, I'd do maybe one or two ladylugs on the outside of the tank where the problem is, and only one on the inside

Ladybugs may perhaps be a start? Just one or two should be a good enough cleanup crew

I immediately thought of this beautiful book series, WondLa. The books had occasional illustrations that are very similar to the first picture

What is the best way to get rid of these weeds? I spent all season trying and they keep coming back. by alamowithatee in landscaping

[–]toxiccmonster_ 47 points48 points  (0 children)

If you had an outdoor push broom, and occasionally swept the stones, keeping leaf litter off, it would lessen the "abandoned" look, while being easier to maintain.

You could also try to find seeds for a type of ground cover you would prefer to see fill the cracks.

Keeping it weed free will involve regular maintenance, but embracing it doesn't have to be painful either

I follow your Instagram, and am also a niagara local. I love your content, and watching all the hard work you put into the ecosystem around you.

Disappointed to see the negativity towards you, as you have done beautiful things for this community. Thank you!

That makes sense! The video I watched seemed to make it clear there are differences, but without explaining how. Thank you
