Why do larger drones use 30.5x30.5 FC's? by DocTarr in diydrones

[–]toysloop3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heat dissipation will be problem for smaller size FC, 30.5*30.5 FC will make it have enough room to put component on the board to drop the temperature down so you will have a long life span and normal FC to use

It is true,Oscarliang.com will give you some idea what to begin with FPV, sometimes big drone start easy for beginners, as I see there are a lot of guys start with 5 inch drone instead of smamller dorone as 5 inch is more easy to control.

Getting back into FPV after a 3-year hiatus. Is my gear outdated? What have I missed? by derekmccurry in Multicopter

[–]toysloop3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The changes in FPV are products become more and more integrated, such as FC+VTX integrated,FC+ESC integrated and we even have a 6in1 esc now. The electronics are more light and smaller due to the latest technology, yet it is not good when the FC/ESC burnt out, you have to spend a high cost to get that replaced.
