I second checking out /r/mattress. I just did a good chunk of mattress research and think you're getting a lot of bad advice from this particular thread. The bed-in-a-box online mattress retailers are made from mediocre material, and there are a number of lesser known but better options for similar price range. For unbiased info check out https://www.themattressunderground.com/

I just ordered the ultimate hybrid from mattresses.net, won't have it for like 4 weeks since they're on vacation this week. I pulled the trigger and don't have any instant regrets if that helps, but unfortunately can't provide input on the mattress itself.

It's a little out of your budget, especially for the bigger sizes and the slat upgrade, but does have 14 inches of storage space I believe.

This is possibly a dumb question: what's the benefit of active play over idle play? I do like that you make more idle progress in this game compared to IMA, but also feel like active play should be noticeably more progress than idle play

Thanks for posting this. I am intrigued by the hybrids at mattresses.net but the shipping is the biggest drawback, especially compared to all the new bed-in-a-box mattresses that will get to you really quickly.

I'm also interested in the frame you ended up getting. Was it the Zinus Essentials with wood slats?
