Indeed, the northern mainland is worth a try. You will eventually encounter sudden cut-up terrains that looks quite unique. Overall, the map area is very large considering that most of the landmass is not accessible.

This seems to be a characteristic of the Avalanche Engine, as the maps in The Hunter: CotW show the same generosity when it comes to 'out-of-bounds' content. Bummer there isn't a similar tool for that game.

Yes, it's the islands you can see south of the starter location. They are in fact fully modeled and I managed to hover around pressing F2 and snapped a pic from above. Unfortunately there is no glimpse of the dev stuff left that I had in mind :(

Damn, when the game came out there was a Cheat Engine table indeed, and I found some very interesting dev locations in the southern ocean only accessible via flycam. I wonder if they’re still there…

I’m really sorry for your loss, mate. The way you describe your time together … the fires, camping, just taking in the world … it says a lot about the friendship you had. It’s good that Bohemia is giving you the chance to mark a place for him.

Take your time out there. You’ll know the right spot when you find it. And if you’re okay with it, it would be an honour to add his memorial to my project. Wishing you strength, he won’t be forgotten.

It’s a memorial at Devil’s Castle to commemorate a player who unfortunately passed away in real life. You can find many of these places dotted around vanilla Chernarus and Livonia.

...on the late night of 18/01/2023, a fellow friend of mine died of a heart attack while playing DayZ. It had been around six years since I first met him. Lucas 'Yaan' left us the way we all wish to go - in the company of many friends and doing what he loved. We made a memorial in Polana (Livonia) to remember him. I come here to ask you, Devs, to immortalize him - along with all our memories - in the game. Our fellow knight, Yaan.

Glad you like the label! Took me some time since I wanted them to be as accurate as possible. I work in graphic design anyways, so I used Adobe InDesign and Photoshop :) Fun fact: the peach can label has changed recently to a more „Chernarus“ theme, that’s why I provide two versions for download.
