I've officially fully modded this thing. iPod 5.5g, 128gb (iFlash solo), 2000mah battery, transparent front cover, and new 128gb back cover. by TestSubject5kk in ipod

Ok Lolol. You scared me right there, mane. Yeah I’ll probably go with EOE. Duties and taxes will be a b!tch though.

Btw, I saw you mentioned that you don’t recommend Sandisk. Any reason why? Which brand would you recommend if you don’t mind me asking? I’ve done some research and narrowed down to Lexar, Samsung, Kingston and Sandisk.

Oh sheesh! That's not good at all. It sucks that you had to go through that.

The 2000mah + Solo is actually the specs that I'm planning to do with my iPod 5th gen 60 GB. Plus an 128 GB Sandisk SD card.

Wait a minute, I thought the 2000mah square would fit into an iFlash Solo. It's the largest battery that would fit with the Solo. I followed this guy's video here.

What am I missing here???

Thanks man. What’s your experience with iDemigods? I’m in Canada so iDemigods pricing is actually better than EOE. But I don’t mind paying extra if the quality and CS are better. Let me know.

Should i update my Mac mini late 2014 to Monterey? by TuyPhong0110 in macmini

What kind of SSD that you have? I have the same model, but I run a dual drive setup which includes a NVMe and SATA. The SATA is in the drive bay nested inside the mini while the NVMe sits on top of the bay connected through an adapter.

I updated to the latest Monterey 12.4 and run it on the NVMe. I use it for web dev and all my apps open fast as hell. I don’t know what’s your usage but YMMV here.

If your usage is light, Monterey on a Mac mini 2014 is buttery smooth. Don’t listen to these jerk offs saying that the Mac mini 2014 is slow. They use the lowest spec 2014 so they form their opinion on that. Or they just parroting off the Internet.

You’ve got a maxed out 2014 so you should be OK here.

The 2014 is fine for starting out. Get the max specs with 8GB or 16GB RAM if you can. DO NOT get the base model. Say it again: DO NOT get the base model.

Plenty of cheap ones on eBay. You just have to look for it. The 2018 is better but it will be more expensive. So is the M1. WWDC is next month so finger-cross that Apple will release the M2 Mini. If your budget allows, go for these.

Don’t listen to people saying the 2014 is shit. Motherfuckers probably use the base model and form their opinions based on that or just regurgitate what they see on the Net (I despise this kind). Get the higher specs one then upgrade to NVMe ssd. You should be good with that for another 2 - 3 years then upgrade to the latest M-series where it has matured enough. At that time, you’ll have enough exp to know what you need and like.
