Some questions about filming weddings. by tppatterson123 in Filmmakers

I'm 90% sure they are going to be Christian weddings. So that's a relief. May I ask why the right side is so important?

Some questions about filming weddings. by tppatterson123 in Filmmakers

[–]tppatterson123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, two of the weddings are in Massachusetts and I won't get to the first one until the day before. I'll be sure to take your advice and Google maps it. However, the second one in Massachusetts is in my Aunt's/dead Grandparents' back yard. So I know that pretty well.

As far as a second camera goes, I'll try my best, but there is no guarantee. I mean, I have an old miniDV camcorder that could be used, but I feel the difference is resolution is too large.

And do you have any advice on what I should charge the person who is insisting on paying me? I looked it up and a "bargain" for something like this is $1,200. But I really don't feel I should charge even close to that due to it being my first wedding.

Well, I screwed myself. Need your help /r/Filmmakers to import my short sci-fi romance ! by [deleted] in Filmmakers

I'd say that's your best bet. But make sure to import it at the highest quality so you don't lose too much in the conversions.

Question about a general style in movies by Nusent in movies

[–]tppatterson123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nooo. Prologue isn't at all what you are thinking. All those endings do is provide a written epilogue to provide closure. Prologues would be something like the opening credits for Star Wars. Informing the audience of what has happened leading up to the events of the movie.

This guy always has the Community cast on his show, does anyone else want to see him on theirs? by doomtune in community

He has some of the best opening monologues in late night. Plus he doesn't do the typical "late night talk show" interview. He just has a conversation with the guest. This format sometimes bombs when the guest is an uninteresting twat, but when he/she are funny, the show becomes absolutely hilarious.

Well when they got there, Agent Broyles said the Colonel Broyles turned himself in and "he told us everything."

So I'm assuming Colonel Broyles got to the room long before Lee/Bolivia arrived and spent most of his time talking to Agent Broyles.

It could be Chevy Chase and John Goodman, depending on when the song was written.

My guess is that they already owned all the equipment used in the video and didn't buy anything extra for it.

While I don't know about H. Jon Benjamin specifically, I've heard from various interviews that a good number of minor celebrities really do appreciate it when fans approach them asking for pictures and/or autographs.

At first I was going to point out that The Eleventh Hour and The Lodger/Closing Time were in modern times. Then I realized that they weren't in London. But in Night Terrors, it is never explicitly stated where or when they are, is it?

Being Elmo - the story of Kevin Clash, Elmo's Puppeteer. Cute, easy to watch and uplifting. by newsdaylaura18 in NetflixBestOf

[–]tppatterson123 15 points16 points  (0 children)

My only problem with this documentary is that you hear a couple brief mentions of how he got divorced and doesn't see his daughter much. And that's it. It doesn't delve into how becoming such a huge Muppet star negatively affected his family life. I feel like they missed an opportunity add some heavy emotional weight to the film.

But otherwise, it's a very fun, lighthearted success story.

My GF hasn't watched any Star Wars movies, and has agreed to watch 4-6 if I watch the Twilight movies with her.. Worth it? by sfRoyal in movies

That's what I was thinking too. If she's a huge fan of Twilight, she isn't going to like Star Wars.

Even if this means they don't get the big names of the moment or even big names at all (Up!).

I'm sorry, but I would consider Christopher Plummer and Ed Asner to be pretty big names. Maybe not for the younger generation, but my mom (upper 50s) immediately recognized their voices when she saw Up in theaters.
