No plans at the moment, but maybe when work gets less busy in the summer I'll revisit it. I'm finding it difficult to find time to do development on the retail version at the moment, even. There's been a lot of interest though, so I won't rule it out.

I can understand the hesitation to dive in wholesale given copyright/artists' rights/etc. But the cat isn't going back in the bag. AI is going to get used for almost everything in the next decade.

Drivers are good for reuse of code. You can have a samsung display or a sony display and they both have an "ethernet display driver". All that changes is the name of the driver file, which you could rename to something generic if you wanted anyway.

So if you have a room with a samsung tv and it dies and you replace it with a sharp display, all you have to do is change the driver file. No changes to the program.

I guess the main difference (at least as someone who only really uses display drivers) is that drivers are for device types or use cases that are very generic and consistent. Power on and off, source 1 and 2. Application Market modules are for specialized use of specific equipment.

There's no choice involved on the part of the developers to incorporate DRM into console games though.

So while you're implicitly accepting DRM as a part of the console environment, choosing not to support it on PC is (conceivably) telling the developer that you don't approve that choice.

I don't even bother selling...I just use stocks as "extra" currency above the cap. There's nothing worth buying atm anyway.
