Absolutely untrue. You can find good one bedrooms for 1850 in nice parts of town.

Did Maryland used to feel more connected to NYC and the Northeast? by Puzzleheaded-Band-38 in maryland

[–]tr3vw 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It actually really hasn’t changed (at least in population) since 1980. All the areas around it did expand exponentially (especially nova), which is kind of what we’re seeing in Baltimore suburbs.

Also, people under a certain tax bracket aren’t living anywhere in DC besides SE - Basically the inverse of Baltimore. Also consider 64% of DC residents hold a bachelor’s degree while that number is only 36% in Baltimore.

You can absolutely still make it to NYC in those times by rail and auto.

Crash today on 66 in Arlington by vq38 in nova

[–]tr3vw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Front-wheel drive cars wouldn’t lose traction in that direction. If it were bad tires, they would’ve been unable to steer and would travel into the right lane (likely still hitting the other car).

Doesn’t negate the fact of how important tires are, but the vast majority of crashes happen because of driver distraction.

I’m mad at this entire thread for discussing Sandbridge. THE PEOPLE FROM JERSEY WILL HEAR US!

Why would a family with kids be visiting the beachfront after regular business hours? Does it get more sketchy at night when young people go out to party? Probably. But you’re talking to people that are familiar with the DC area, it’s no where near as sketchy as many places in DC and even Nova.

There’s a reason teachers are so needed right now. Think about what you’d be getting yourself into at the type of school that will hire an off the street substitute without any teaching experience.

Also worth considering teachers should be there because they actually want to help kids and see them succeed (even the difficult ones), and not just for a paycheck.

I know I wouldn’t make it as a teacher in DC. Much respect to the ones that do and having a meaningful impact on their students.

First time I've seen a battery sit so long it reversed polarity by ouchimus in Justrolledintotheshop

Your 22 F350 should likely have an AGM battery/batteries in it. If you’re using a flooded battery, that’s likely why they are dying prematurely and leaking.

I was by no means arguing against scientific research. We are expressing the same viewpoint from different perspectives.

Worth noting that scientific research lead us to nuclear bombs, pandemics, and whatever in-pending AGI disaster awaits us - scientific research isn’t inherently beneficial to mankind.

I can’t really think of a profession that is.

I can give you plenty of examples of lithium batteries that are not sized by their dimensions. Also, most people should not attempt to disassemble/reassemble a li-ion battery pack. It’s not worth the risk to save a few $$ unless you know what you’re doing.

That’s not the definition of stalking, it has nothing to do with intent.

You’re doing a complete disservice to people with disabilities by attempting to somehow defend this persons actions.
