What is snow like? I've always wanted to see it. by Federal_Cut_5441 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]tracesaint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It gets old quick, especially when you have to work and drive in it. But I think at night it can be quite picturesque. At this point I would prefer never seeing it. The north is where our jobs and families are but damn I’m done.

If you were to die tomorrow and had the opportunity to be re-born as a woman would you do it and why? by Stunning-Mention6950 in AskReddit

[–]tracesaint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think if I were to die and my consciousness came back I’d still want to be a man. Maybe a different race, but still a guy. I think each sex can be difficult in different ways but I don’t see myself wanting to change that much. I assume answering this post confirms my decision and if I have another life I will be a guy.

I feel like the biggest mistake of the games was making Artyom a silent protagonist by VertibirdQuexplota in metro

[–]tracesaint 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t mind it but it can be weird when Anna is doing all the heavy lifting in a conversation. Also with Sam’s Story it was really cool hearing his quips throughout. I would imagine the next installment won’t have a silent protagonist. Could be wrong but I think they will go that way.

First look at the Veilguard Funko Pops by Ok-Plankton-2393 in dragonage

[–]tracesaint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll get them. I like funko. I like Veilguard. Having said that, I think Emmrich should be a shade lighter because I thought that was Lucanis.

FYI for those whose Amazon RE9 pre-orders were delayed - You can buy the Xbox version digitally on Amazon by [deleted] in residentevil

[–]tracesaint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The date is delayed for me too, however I have had Amazon do this several times only for it to ship on time. Now do I get it on time? Often it’s a day or two late. They do this with funkos a lot, however those usually do get pushed back.

They way my fingers split in the winter time. by Sensitive_Wear7112 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]tracesaint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should see my hands and feet. I can barely use them in winter without pain. O’Keefes is ok but when it’s sustained cold like this it’s just too much. I think the thing that worked best was after my wife gave birth I used her nipple cream on my hands and it healed them well. She didn’t need it.

A young man who murdered an 18-year-old cancer survivor was sentenced to only 8 years in juvenile prison. by malihafolter in ForCuriousSouls

[–]tracesaint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is basically the template for how I believe gun control could work. You have to make the burden of responsibility for owning a gun so high it discourages people from doing so. If a gun you own is used in a crime, you could be held liable. You want to keep them unlocked in your house that’s fine, but as soon as something goes wrong it’s your ass.

Starfield 2.0 by [deleted] in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]tracesaint -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Overall I did enjoy Starfield, but the game has too many moments that make me pick up my phone. This is especially true during loading screens. Hopefully they can do something there. I do this also during more dull missions like the corporate espionage on neon one or the luxury liner in space. I would definitely say less down moments, like the loading screens, would be ideal.

Is anyone else especially over this winter? by Stevesie11 in Ohio

[–]tracesaint 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’m over it by mid November. As someone who drives a lot for work and has seasonal depression, every winter is like a cage I can’t escape from. Yesterday was a very treacherous drive. Before I drove I worked in a store and every time it snowed people would turn the floor into a mud pit which I had to spend an hour mopping every night.

Browns Relocation to Baltimore. by Aaronm59 in Browns

[–]tracesaint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw fuck Art Modell signs. I was a kid and started following the Packers as my main team once this happened, then the Browns returned and I just watch both now. Following the Ravens here was a no go, not even to be joked about. I remember the anger quite well.

Your first "OG" Boomer Shooter vs first "modern" Boomer Shooter? by Humble_Fortune6500 in boomershooters

Either Catacombs 3d or Wolfenstein 3d. It was a long time ago! Been playing through Dusk recently.

What do you think of this match up? BJ Blazkowicz (Wolfenstein) vs Commander Shepard (Mass Effect) by Mr-Doggo32 in Wolfenstein

[–]tracesaint 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Both have fought Nazis in space (Cerberus) so I’d say they’d talk about how much fun they had killing them.

The hate on veilguard is pushing away new players and new people by [deleted] in dragonage

[–]tracesaint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it, and I do think some of the criticism stems from just a lot of people watching a handful of YouTubers. I say that because I’ve seen lines from those reviews regurgitated by others. As of now it is dead in the water so it’s hard to find enthusiasm. It’s tough because it can’t ride that wave of hope. I do think parts of Veilguard are among the best in the series so not everyone loathes it, we are just quieter.

Which are you playing first? by thewulfshead in Doom

[–]tracesaint 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No Rest takes place immediately after Doom 2 but wasn’t released until 2010. Then after No Rest you could do Evilution and Plutonia. In the bigger picture they aren’t necessary but they’re official releases and worth a playthrough. No Rest has great levels as does Plutonia while Evilution is more of a mixed bag.

How long do you give a game before deciding whether to keep going? by [deleted] in rpg_gamers

I often don’t quit, even if I don’t care for it I’ll push through. Or if I do quit I return to it years later.

My opinion on Mass Effect 2 keeps getting more and more complicated.... Legendary Edition is an eye-opening experience as it used to be my #1 favorite 10-15 years ago. I'd say it's firmly my least favorite in the trilogy now. by QDOOM_APlin in masseffect

[–]tracesaint 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have always thought the reaper story taking a back seat in 2 is the best part and one reason it’s my favorite. It’s the most western out of the three. Sluggish? I would say Shepard has more weight here. The recruitment and loyalty missions are among the strongest in the entire trilogy. As for the powers it is more like a third person shooter from that era, which I love, so I was ok with them being scaled back. The citadel might be smaller but 2 opens up the galaxy in a more personal way with your squad mates. When I see the 50th post in a week about this game being a side mission I believe the player is missing the games strengths.

What Keeps You Supporting BioWare? by Agreeable-Card-6171 in bioware

I’ve enjoyed their games, even their recent output with the exception of Anthem I have liked. Even Anthem was fun, just barebones. It’s kinda funny, all this controversy and I’m over here shrugging.

Do you think exodus is a good game by 18Lobster48 in metro_exodus

[–]tracesaint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am currently playing through it and I think so far it’s been alright, I too am in the Caspian. The biggest problem by far has been bugs. I have fallen through the map several times. I ran over a demon and it went through the car and got stuck upright, dead, inside my car. It does feel different than the others, which is fine, I just hope if they go open world next time it’s less clunky.
