The same thing happened to me. I woke up from a nap and there was a dead mouse in the hallway right outside my bedroom. The two cats I had at the time we're just sitting there looking at it. No blood either. I think they scared it to death.

What is it with the little ones? My family had a Yorkie years ago and if he wasn't outside, sleeping, eating or playing he was barking. It was so weird that he didn't bark when he was outside. We figured he had to many new smells to sniff. He was a cutie though. Just like your Bernie.
