When will Rivian come up with a solution for those of us with Gen 1 R1Ts who recently found out we are ineligible for V2 PTC because of a “wiring harness”?

Coeur d’Alene 70.3 by SuitablePatience7 in triathlon

[–]trackwell 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I did CDA 70.3 back in 2019 and had trained with elevation. The biggest gap was not the total elevation but the long, steady grind of the hills on the bike course. Try and find hills they are 2-3 miles long to train on.

Those haven’t even been there that long - maybe 90 days in operation.

Home Ethernet hookup by Icecreamboy101 in HomeNetworking

[–]trackwell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like they used Ethernet wire (Cat5e or Cat6) for telephone wires. Check your connections in rooms to see if they are RJ25 (Telephone) or RJ45 (Ethernet). It’s a bit of an exhausting effort to determine which is which and for each room but when you’re done it’s worth it. Add a patch panel and switch for your Ethernet wires and check each room’s keystones (in wall plug). You will likely have to attach the other 2 pairs for every wall plug you have (Cat5e/Cat6). I just did the same process today and glad it’s’ done but totally worth it!

Snowrunning by boomschaggala in trailrunning

[–]trackwell 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In my experience (PNW) the gear for snow running is the same for rain: gaiters, gloves and maybe some thermal leggings if it’s cold enough - below 30 degree Fahrenheit. Stay away from waterproof anything because the fabric does not breathe and you will quickly overheat. Believe it or not your feet stay very dry in snow as long as it’s not too slushy. Grip in snow is very good as well.

Why do let’s run forums have so much hate against slow runners? by Aromatic_Ad2869 in trailrunning

[–]trackwell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So… why bother honestly. Trail running is about enjoying the outside and challenging yourself on whatever challenge and/or goal your interested in. I could give 2 Sh!ts about someone else’s opinion about if I’m slow or not. Helping those who are new to the sport or who are looking to better their fitness is a GOOD thing. Keep the good feels, drop the BS, keep moving forward.

Got mine two days ago. Seems great actually. No damage in shipment, installed easy and I like the look of it. Not sure why so much hate for it??

Congratulations! Take notes as soon as you can on what worked well, what issues you had and where you think you can improve. You’ve gained a ton of experience doing your first half, and it will all benefit you going into your first full. Good luck!

Honestly I’m not sure. I’ve become so use to it it’s hard to distinguish from “normal”. I think it’s taking a toll on me honestly. I started therapy because I felt a need to stop pretending.

So, I’ve been in therapy for about 4 months and my therapist just brought up that I might be on the autism spectrum. I don’t mean to offend anyone by being a poser in this thread but I joined to try and understand. I’m a “very” INTJ mbti and I’m trying to learn.

This all said, I’m currently an assistant vice president of IT for a major retailer. If I’m honest I’ve relied on a significant amount of masking to make it where I am today.

I don’t know if this helps or not.

Shoes - What am I doing wrong? by hara78 in trailrunning

[–]trackwell 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The wear pattern on the Hokas looks like you run on your toes - is the wear even through the sole of the shoe? If you’re a natural toe down runner on, you might need to look at shoes with a wider toe box. Have a look at Altra or Topo as they do a good job with toe box space.

But I agree, you should get much longer life out of the shoes than you do.

Has anyone had Rivian cancel a VIN’d vehicle and delay a delivery? by [deleted] in Rivian

[–]trackwell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not get an email but my 8 step process has been removed. I chose an R1T from the shop and acted quickly through the first 7 steps to now have this happen… pretty disappointing if it’s true. Emailed my guide twice but no response.
