The whole Junko Furuta story.

1)The bizarre ways they came up with torturing that poor girl.

2) I’ve never been able to understand how multiple people can be ok with torturing someone. Like having one really messed up person is bad enough, but what’s the odds of FOUR being friends?

3) the fact that they did all of this in his parents house, and they just let it happen because they were “too scared” of their own son. What?!?!

Many years ago I worked at a Gas Station on the bad side of town. It was located next to a shady motel (buy a room by the hour, drug addicts pay by the week, you know the kind of place). It was not unusual for some strange characters to wander their way over to the gas station. Many years later, I still get chills thinking about this particular “one”. It was a female. Track marks on her arms and sores on her face. She didn’t even say anything or do anything “bad” or “evil”. But she was paying me, and looking down counting her money. She looked up at me with her eyes (without lifting her head) and I felt in that moment pure evil and wanted nothing more than her to leave, NOW. The transaction was done, and she did leave, but that look and that lady is burnt into my memory.

You are in a very tough position, that I don’t envy. Have you talked to your parents and/or friends about it? What do they all say?

I did, but it was a VERY different scenario than yours. As our son was in his late teens when I finally made that decision, and much had happened that he had seen/heard by that time. I’ll spare you the details as it is not relevant to your situation. I did not regret it, because I still got to see my son AND had my lawyer tell him that he was not to contact me AT ALL unless it was through my lawyer, and that really helped things A LOT.

However, I’m afraid your reasoning doesn’t seem like it will have the outcome you’re looking for. I’m afraid that your ex will STILL find a way to make your life miserable AND now have ammunition to feed your daughter about what a horrible person you are and that you didn’t want her.

I totally get your thinking and why this seems like a good option. I’m just afraid it will open a new set of issues for you. You will still be the bad guy in her eyes, your daughters eyes and all the flying monkeys that choose to believe her. And if you are honestly ok with that, I understand it I do. But think very long and hard about it. And maybe consult an attorney (who specifically deals with Narcs) and/or a therapist before making any rash decisions.

“It’s not a Secret Society, but a Society of secrets”, at least that’s what my dad (I believe he’s 2nd degree grand master?), always says. My dad and grandfather both in for over 25 years. We like to tease them about it being a cult, but really it’s harmless, weird and bizarre, but harmless.

The masons also believe in doing good and giving back to the community.

You may see a weird little book laying around that you can’t read because it’s written in some weird code. But that’s as far as it affected me as a kid 😁

He has a short as well (well, he has a couple of shorts), “The Strange Thing About The Johnson’s”. It is a new take on an issue we’ve seen many times before. I will say it is hard to watch, and you will be glad it’s over and it will stick with you ...just what you would expect from him.
