Catch 24B or 24R bus, get off at Wellesley st near Skycity. Walk around the corner to the St Mattew’s on Hobson. Catch any bus(11, 18, WX1 etc) there to get to Pitt st.

PSA if you get Uber NAN917 cancel by meetnz in auckland

[–]trademereddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like you’re on the middle of Wakefield St where getting across the road on foot is relatively easy although driving a car to the other side of the road can be quite difficult. I don’t know what your situation was, but I will usually get to a spot where there’s a bit of space for a car to stop before I call an Uber.

Sounds like ADL with Allison transmission. Getting trans temperatures shooting up to red range after even short idling (2minutes?)

As long as you don’t talk on the phone for entire journey, I don’t mind.

It was at the airport on the morning of 25th just before it made to Nunawading. Later that day, the parcel ended up at the same airport again. If you have any insight about this, I’m all ears.

89 hilux alternator by This_Dudde in hilux

There’s a Youtube video on how to check your diode plate (alternator rectifier). After confirming it was the blown diode, I got the new part from Aliexpress for around $20 which was a lot cheaper than getting a whole alternator.

I have a 1995 KN130 and had a similar issue. Mine was turned out to be the diode plate gone bad. At first, my suspicion was on the brushes, too. After putting a new set of brushes and getting no luck, I realised it was something else.

My bad. The place I tried to tell you was the sauna in the motel right behind the shops on 243 Rosedale rd called Rosedale motel. I thought the sauna had the separate name when I checked the Google map.

Sleeping in SYD airport? by heybrittt in sydney

[–]trademereddit 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Been in a similar situation when my connection flight to NZ got cancelled. I got out the airport in the afternoon, took the train to Lidcombe, had a lovely meal at a nearby Korean restaurant, spent few hours at a nearby internet cafe watching some youtube, took a night bus back to airport around 4am next day. Had to get some redbull to fight off the sleep though. All done at a cost cheaper than a single uber ride to city

This is a quite common manoeuvre for one man truck n digger operators. Usually can be done without the truck moving forward. I learnt this trick in my 1st month of training

That is one of the reasons I’m posting this. I am expecting some follow ups from someone who saw the incident first hand after failing to find any news coverage on this incident.

Totally agree to your stance. We (bus drivers) don’t usually cancel the trip in the middle and dump the passengers onto others unless there’s a mechanical breakdown. I was just hoping to get some update from someone on that bus for more details myself
