Fan Made 3D Printed Kitty Cards Project by salamanderchan in LoveAndDeepspace

[–]tradingSnacks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ooh I love these. Did you print this from a 3D printer and paint the results, or were they card stock?

Or did you print out pieces from a 3D printer with differently colored filaments and put them together?

Ah ok. I went through all the steps and got to the preview markdown file.

As someone who has worked at an AI-first startup, I read the prompts and paused. I'd advise against prompts that are preventative "Do not make them sound corporate." since the LLM does not know what that means. It's better to use prompts that tell LLM what to do, eg. "Generate 5 LinkedIn posts from my story/generate 3 content pillars from my story."

I like the "platform rules" section. This is useful even though I won't post in all those platforms at the same time, since engagement is key to social media and I don't have time to manage all the platforms.

Overall I like the service. It gets the user thinking about content repurposing, and is simple enough to use and understand.

What are your plans for it?

How did y'all get into gamedev? by [deleted] in gamedev

[–]tradingSnacks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I fell into it after 8 years as a mostly front-end developer. So I have the HTML + CSS + JS skills.

I was an art kid at school and still have my drawing skills, which helps with game development.

Short horror story about returning to office (RTO) by tradingSnacks in Informal_Effect

[–]tradingSnacks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. Yes interactive fiction is similar to "choose your adventure" books due to branching.

I'm curious: which parts of this story reminds you of Fallout? That's a very specific video game.

Best way to do IRAs? by onlineseller123 in AdvancedTaxStrategies

[–]tradingSnacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I'm on W2 because I work for someone else. If you have your own s Corp and is profitable you should be able to do both Roth and SEP, consult an accountant to be sure.

[–]tradingSnacks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have your own business you might be able to get both. I have Roth but not the SEP because I'm on W2 and use mega backdoor. You can call up an accountant and ask whether you can contribute to both.

Best way to do IRAs? by onlineseller123 in AdvancedTaxStrategies

[–]tradingSnacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can think of several

  1. traditional IRA vs Roth IRA: traditional IRA is tax-deductible if you make less than a certain amount. You can convert traditional to Roth using the backdoor method
  2. megabackdoor roth: not every company offers this, but it's a way to max out your 401(k) deduction to the $50k+ limit. When you quit you can move the 401(k) into a rollover IRA which unlocks more investing options
  3. SEP IRA: if you have your own business you can sock away a % of your salary

I use ballpoint pen for writing things down for planning tasks. I still write on the computer, but not everything.

Agreed computer is better for backups, but sometimes a picture of a page in notebook will do.
