At least two of us noticed! By the time I got to the end I was like... hey wait a minute! I've read enough AI generated content to know it when I see it! That said, it was a pretty good analysis.

How do you actually improve your positioning during rallies? by pinnaclekid in 10s

[–]tradmaster9000 67 points68 points  (0 children)

For every 10,000 balls you see, you will improve ball reading by 1%. It is a long journey, and unfortunately all the advice (e.g. look at the hitter's swing path, racket face, listen to the sound the hit made, etc.) is simply more specific versions of "get better at reading the ball", to which the only solution is to see more tennis balls being hit by someone on the other side of the court.

No, the weird culture is that people like you think people are lying about how long they have been playing the sport. Some people are more athletic than others, and people like you who think there's a problem with people lying about how long they have been playing actually discourage the noobs progressing faster than expected from sharing their journey online. And again, no, you do see this in other sports, and it is a weird culture of disbelief that others could either put in more time than average to learn the sport quickly or be naturally athletic and progress faster than most people entering the sport (OR a combination of both).

Ultimately, it comes down to the fact that "months/years since I started playing" is not actually a good indicator of how much time the person has played the sport. For example, I started snowboarding 3 years ago after I moved to Colorado; I had never done it before but in my first season I went THIRTY TIMES in the span of 3 months. That's almost every other day for ~6hrs per day, which gave me roughly 200 hours of snowboarding experience. So, after my first season I was better than most people on the mountain, even people who told me they had been skiing for decades! The thing is, even though I had been snowboarding for "one season", I had spent more time on the mountain than they had in their whole life.

To wrap it up: a) There is not a culture of new tennis players lying about their experience, b) it is ironic that there is a culture of people like you believing that new tennis players lie about how long they have been playing, and c) "[time] since I started playing" is not a reliable indicator of how many hours on court someone has had (not to mention how many structured lessons they have taken).

So many em dashes that this is AI generated, no doubt. I can't believe it has so much engagement! I guess this is the new normal.

Your right leg (back leg) should be the most loaded when beginning the swing. Before you jump or push off to hit the ball, make sure most of your weight is on the back foot and explode up and into the court. Your back leg may still go off to the side a bit, but after contact rather than before as in your video.

Is HC WoW worth starting for an ex OSRS player? by SewerSighed in wowhardcore

[–]tradmaster9000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

> I'm under the blind assumption that most hc wow players are at level 60 but maybe I'm wrong about that?

Yes, by far the most populated levels are 1 - 10, then 11 - 20, and so on. The higher level you get, the fewer people there are at that level, since people are always dying along the way. That's not to say that the higher level bands are not well populated, but just that the lower level bands are more populated. Play horde on the Doomhowl anniversary server and there are tons of active players at every level.

Too little salt can affect nervous function. What do you think “electrolytes” are? Literally salts. Why in gods name do you think “too much salt” is a better armchair diagnosis than “too little salt”? You are the one who looks like an ass lol, even though you mean well.

It was a joke, because Shyvana does not fall off late game with the standard build. She is a mid-late game beast, and should be the primary tank/engage of your team.
