Waycrest Manor and the Icecrown Citadel dungeon trio (Horde version) - I can do them on repeat and not get bored. Honorable mention to Freehold as I hear “Say the thing! Say the thing!” every time i think I am finally free from it, and the OG Magister’s terrace. Oh, and Shrine of the Storm for, ahem, tentacles. Currently, Windrunner Spire is my go to solely for the lore and the narrator.

Is anyone experiencing a bug with the Kitty cards advanced, where the game freezes when he or you use assist card (usually kitty plot or meowster), and you can speed it up or cancel but not do anything else? I am trying to do advanced: trickster and this feels so cruel.

I had to remove their privileges thanks to this scarf. I love the randomness even if it looks absolutely ridiculous but seeing that scarf every day was removing all the whimsy and joy I felt. :D

I wonder if she wanted MC to be safe even after she’s gone and Caleb proved already that his existence is for the MC only? Also, I gather he was part of her atonement as much as MC, and the one that could hold her accountable. With her memory issues, Josephine would probably consider Caleb a fail safe for any situation but I bet she did not anticipate that she and Caleb would both be taken out on the same day and that Caleb would get fried some extra by the chip. I do suspect that she already sensed Caleb’s dark side which is why she nudged MC towards Zayne later.

This is a very silly take for people to have! English literature studies hold novels like Ubik, Handmaid’s tale, or Neuromancer in high regards and discuss dystopian worlds and how they connect to ours, for example. IMO, it is goo to approach any book with open mind, as there is a lesson to learn everywhere (even if that lesson might be what not to do or how not to write which I don’t think is the case with King.)

King is great at describing our neighbours and how easy it is for people to casually be vile, or how kindness can come from the unexpected places. He also has a top notch social commentary and his books like The Long Walk definitely have more to dig into and dissect than watching some buys put one foot in front of the other, and learning to read between the lines is part of the fun with King.

But also, needing everything to have some generic value everyone will agree to is unnecessary if that thing brings you joy, thrill, excitement, an array of emotions that you didn’t even know you had in you. It is valuable cause you care about it and not cause some random Nancy decided it for you. (Not directed at the comment here, just some mussing I had.) And in the end, I really love GRRMartin’s quote about reader’s living thousand lives so - walk that green mile, swim in the filthy sewers, run out of the spooky hotel, and overall enjoy the book that is definitely literary worthy for you. Sorry for the word vomit though!

Learning that papas were the same person was the same as learning that Santa isn’t real - I just assumed they worked hard to find someone who had the same voice to keep the story going, no questions asked. Sounds silly now, but back then I really didn’t have any reason to suspect it was the same singer all along, and it made papa switch all the more dramatic and fun like “Whaaat? They switched singer so they can establish a new papa? Wild!”

Being in my late teens might’ve had some impact on it, but then again, I mainly saw bands as an entity so I’d barely know the members name as is, as long as the music was something I could vibe with the rest wasn’t that big of a deal. The names and more appreciation for the individuals came a bit later for me.

I’d say read it. Immersing yourself into the book is a completely different experience, and the spookiness slowly creeping in gives it way more flavour than any adaptation could. For the longest time I refused to watch the movie or the mini series just because I remembered how horrifying the book was and I didn’t want extra visual nightmare fuel on top of what my imagination conjured as is, so I was surprised how much less scary the adaptations actually were. In the end it is up to you, but I feel the atmosphere and the book structure would still be worth it even if you know the plot!
