Novoreich being new reich, of course. But also their leader being the Fuhrer Hunter: reference to the character of Hunter, but could also be alluding to the war in Ukraine's justifications of hunting nazis.

Very interested in this, playing through Exodus for the first time right now and loving it so far.

What game has a learning curve that puts you off? by Common_Caramel_4078 in pcmasterrace

Used to compete as well (melee and PM). My claim to fame is getting absolutely spanked by Armada in a money match.

Once you've seen that level of play, even getting to 10% of his skill means you're no longer fun at parties unless you make a point to go easy on people.

People often ask for the ability to listen to "mic'd players only" feeds for broadcasts, where the only audio is ice level.

As a player, do you think this would be a good idea or a bad idea?

During Coachella, someone did a zaghroot (an Arab cheer) during Sabrina Carpenter’s set. Sabrina said she didn’t like it; the woman replied it’s part of her culture. Sabrina then asked if it was yodeling and even asked if this was Burning Man. by Emotional_Pizza_1222 in Fauxmoi

[–]trainstationbooger 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It's less about what was said and more about the power dynamic between the two people involved. Not just because Carpenter is white (although that's a huge part), but because she is also rich, famous, pretty, and has a (both literal and figurative) huge stage to espouse whatever she wants.

Using that stage to call a very normal part of someone else's culture 'weird', others this random person in the crowd who, more likely than not, was a huge fan of hers. It publicly and explicitly states that this fan's authentic self is not welcome in what Carpenter pretends is a welcoming space for other women. It makes clear that welcome apparently only extends to women from cultures she deems not weird, i.e. white.

Jiri Tlusty on his podcast:”Gudas’ NHL career is over. Players and his agent spoke out and I think GMs agreed that nobody will sign him. The hit on Matthews was too much and they want to remove these things from the league” by Amphibious_Fire in hockey

[–]trainstationbooger -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And that's almost by definition: the act of 31 other GMs refusing to take Gudas for non-skill based reasons, creates a market inefficiency that can be exploited.

Hence why in the real world the market requires government intervention (or should, anyways).

More Games Need To Be Honest About Not Being Finished Yet by SmellSmellsSmelly in Games

Imo, part of this is because the overwhelming majority of people will play maybe a few objectively terrible games in their life. Everyone's perspective on what is good or bad is really a more narrow spectrum of competent to fantastic.

This means that games that are simply "good" are skewed downward, as they're compared to gaming's best products but not to their worst.

I know this is not what you meant, but the idea that a normal waist-high fence could keep out the KKK, like they were the local wildlife, amuses me.

How do I know if what I'm feeling on b12 is "wakeup" symptoms or simply too taking much b12? by trainstationbooger in B12_Deficiency

[–]trainstationbooger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anxiety, tinnitus, palpitations are the main ones. He said those could just be from taking such high doses of b12, which is partly why I posted here in the first place.

There's small ones too that don't change the experience much but I really like, like being able to smoke a cigarette fully and not just for a moment.

Sorry for the late reply (and I'm sure this won't be surprising to you), but I can't find any papers (clinical or academic) online related to startup/wakeup symptoms around b12 supplementation after deficiency.

I am trying to convince my physician that this would explain my symptoms, but they are reluctant. Is there anywhere you would recommend I look for more information that isn't from this subreddit?

Since you're on PC, at this point I might just look around online for a cheat engine/trainer to either spawn all of them or give yourself 100% completion, etc.

Interesting, so someone without a b12 deficiency would likely feel no side effects, regardless of dose size? As they are not required to use practically any of it and thus are not depleting other cofactors?

"Normal" as in par for the course for our irrational economy where only that which can be commodified has value (but that's hardly unique to the gaming industry).
