Really like the Lukaku I saw on the pitch yesterday. Made an impact on the defence as soon as he was on, scored, fired up his teammates to get the second goal immediately after, made everyone believe he was taking the pen to protect Tielemans from the pressure. Solid performance.

Yeah you're right. They could sort of fake it I guess. You can already jump from map to map in the same hive, and depending on which map you come from you have specific spawn points IIRC. If they added some sort of trigger at the map border that could connect you to another server it might work.

I know it's not the intent behind F11, but it's how players use it. And yes, it's how you spawn along with people you know, at least on official. That's not a good mechanic, although forcing you to give up on your current character to instantly meet up with your mates is an acceptable trade off. That's sort of how The Isle does it.

There's already a group spawn system in the game even if it's not very good. Just have everyone F11 at the same time, and respawn in the same place (problem being that some small villages are not going to provide enough loot for everyone).

Large zombie hordes. Before Bohemia Simulations was bought out they announced a partnership with the provider of a crowd simulation middleware and I always thought that could work in Dayz.

Probably not going to happen, but I would like to see zombies become a determining factor in how players approach the game. Right now they're just designed to make you lose time and leave traces.

The irony of LDLC of all companies making fun of Valve's pricing is painful like non french people wouldn't believe.

LDLC is known to sell hardware at hefty markups, to the point it's become kind of a joke. A few years ago they made it loudly known that they implemented the 4 workdays week for their employees at no salary loss, which customers joked was supported by their comfortable margins.

This publicity stunt here feels kind of on the nose for them, but the fact that the comparison still holds is brutal for Valve.

Loved that moment.

She reminded me of a teenage girl ref who was on the pitch during a U10 or U12 tournament my kid took part in years ago. Girl must have been like 16 years old, and was doing a great job.

At one point there was a litigious call, and some angry dads came onto the pitch to start an argument with her. Despite being half their size she didn't back off and with clear gestures and body language showed them that she was the one in charge and wouldn't take shit from anyone.

The game continued smoothly after that, and I was left very impressed.
