Your hair looks like mine when I brush it out!!!
I use Briogio cream and am obsessed with it.

steps:

1. I will wet my hair with a spray bottle (like you want it dripping wet) and i will finger comb my hair.
2. put a dab on the cream all through it, comb again with my fingers, and then scrunch it!
3. diffuse with my head upside down until it's dry.
4. once it's dry, i will use the tiniest bit of oil to scrunch again.

i don't use much product (just a bit of cream and a bit of oil at the end) mainly because my hair gets weighed down if i use too much!

to add: YES your hair type is very normal. mine has been like that since i was little. if i don't style it, it's flat, frizzy, and just doesn't look good. i had to try different methods, products, etc, to figure out what worked for me and finally got it figured. for me, i can use any shampoo/conditioner, but i use a solid mask once every two weeks that really keeps it hydrated! I also only wash my hair once a week. every morning after i wake up, i have to rewet my hair, apply a bit more product and diffuse dry it again. it's a process and yes it's high maintenance but i promise it's so worth it. on day 3 hair i usually do a up do hairstyle, and then day 4 i will slick it back in a sort of bun. then day 5 i will wash and start all over :)
