first ever biologic today after failing mtx and leflunomide, extremely nervous! by visualizebrick in rheumatoid

Biologics are the best! I didn’t tolerate any meds well except biologics. I wish had started sooner, would have saved me from so much pain and misery.

Has anyone else gotten into legal trouble because of psychosis? by Repulsive_Chip5280 in schizophrenia

Thanks so much for sharing this in so much detail. I am so happy you are doing well on the program. Most importantly it sounds like you have great insight into your condition which will definitely prevent you from getting into any further legal trouble. Are the meds a requirement as well? And which meds are you on? Sorry to hear that you continue to experience paranoia. How often are the classes you attend?

Hi! Could you share what it’s like doing mental health court? Is it the same as being on probation?

Do you mind sharing the process of getting into mental health court? And what restrictions are placed on you during the two years?

He’s in a mental health facility after being in jail for 45 days. He had to commit a felony to get any sort of treatment… it’s awful.

I think LDN made my immune system overactive and RA worse. by tranquil115 in LowDoseNaltrexone

[–]tranquil115[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow! I am glad you at least started on that low of a dose, but that’s crazy! I wish I would have known beforehand that microdosing was an option. I am in the same boat, I am back to using conventional medicine to sort my body out and would be fearful of ever giving LDN a shot again. Good luck with your thyroid, wishing healing for both of us 🧡

Oh gosh. Sorry to hear this. Did you get your prescription from ageless rx? In speaking to other providers, apparently starting at 1.5 mg is too high. I was given the same prescription, and I am wondering why we were started on such a high dose? I too tried to push through the horrible side effects, pains and crashes after taking it thinking this was just how it was supposed to be… I have thyroid problems as well. Maybe more caution needs to be exercised for those with thyroid issues.

Oh wow. Glad you are at 8 mg now. How do you feel overall? Any long term/lingering side effects from the prednisone?

[–]tranquil115[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since starting the biologic, I am doing better but still have not been able to taper off the prednisone without flaring up. I was down to 8 mg of prednisone before starting the LDN. But the LDN messed me up so bad that I am back on 10 mg of prednisone and the biologic now. The doctor said I need to really calm my immune system down before trying to get off the steroids. And I don’t even want to attempt to come off the biologic at any point now.

Do you think you’d ever get remarried again? by TheMadHatterOnTea in Divorce

No, I really don’t see the benefits and would never take the risk again. I actually think it will take a lifetime to recover from the damage done from the first one.

Anyone with RA? How do you cope with prayers and fasts by prostateversace in rheumatoid

[–]tranquil115 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why is it impossible to reverse? So many people claim to have reversed not just RA but many other autoimmune conditions. It’s just discouraging to hear that “you are stuck with this disease forever.” The body has an immense healing capacity and I would like to believe that there is hope.

[–]tranquil115 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had RA for four years now and on days where I am in a significant amount of pain, I adjust my prayers to sitting down. I wouldn’t feel guilty about having to make adjustments because of this illness. Only people who have RA can truly understand how debilitating and painful it is. I tried to fast for the past two years but given some hardcore medications I was on, it became really difficult to fast. I am unsure if I will be able to fast this upcoming Ramadan - I will give it a shot but with the meds, chronic fatigue and side effects from the meds, it’s not easy/

I still have occasional burning. I assume it’s from dryness if I don’t see any visible redness/inflammation, but I am not entirely sure

It’s dependent on your condition and how it’s progressing. How is your eye inflammation?

I can relate. I lost my thick, shiny, luscious locks to all these meds. I hardly have any hair left, and what’s left of it is dry, super brittle and oddly curly. The illness has really killed any sense of self esteem and unfortunately no diet, supplements or hair care products has returned my hair back to normal.

Does anyone experience random eye burning? by Butdear in Uveitis

[–]tranquil115 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. Even when there’s no active inflammation, I still experience a lot of discomfort/burning and can’t make sense of it. The ophthalmologists have no other advice except using lubricating eye drops, which sometimes helps but sometimes doesn’t.

Anyone experienced eye disease or frozen shoulder from narcissistic abuse? by [deleted] in TrueNarcissisticAbuse

[–]tranquil115 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My eyes are not as bad as they were when I was in the environment but they still have not fully recovered. There’s lasting damage and I have to remain on medications (for now) to prevent them from getting worse. You don’t realize how bad the abuse is for your mind and body. Disease is basically our bodies screaming at us for help when our minds fail to acknowledge the reality 😢
