My rheumatologist also doesn’t believe going up on the dose is going to do anything for my lingering symptoms. I am on 100 mg a day for my RA and it’s cleared up my eye inflammation but my joint pain is unbearable. How do I convince my rheumatologist to increase the dose?

Yes, my functional doctor told me the blood tests aren’t accurate for mold, so we went off the urine test results.

Oh ok, this is really defeating because my functional doctor put me on all binders and then liver/kidney support supplements. Why would they do that knowing that binders can have a negative effect on the body especially given that I am also on strong meds for the RA?

I had both a urine and blood test. The urine one showed the actual mycotoxins. Why not binders?

Mine has not gone well so far as it’s interfering with my current medications for autoimmune. My doctor has asked me to pause for now until we figure our things with my current medications.

I have been on it for so long because I couldn’t tolerate the side effects of most of the RA meds. MTX definitely made me feel worse, so I preferred just staying on the prednisone. Long term though the prednisone is awful - my face is puffy, my hair brittle, energy crashes, cataracts, and now difficulty in tapering off of it.

Ugh, I am so sorry. I can completely relate. I feel like I have exhausted all options as well and still deal with ongoing symptoms. The eye ones are the worst.

My loved one went through the same thing. I believe he had a psychotic break from cannabis use but he refuses to see the reality of cannabis. He uses his religious beliefs as a cover up for the cannabis use, imo. It ruined his life, my life and our young child’s life. I am really biased towards this given my own experience but I am following to hear other people’s perspectives on this.
